Cost of living?

What is the average cost of living in Sydney? Apartment prices? Gas? ect..

Is it hard to find jobs there? I'm currently in law enforcement, would I be able to find a job there in this field easy?

Any input would be greatly apreciated. Thanks.

I'm on the wrong side of the country to answer most of those question, but I think given the current state of affairs in Sydney, you'd find a job very very quickly!!!! Can you make it there by this weekend????

Not many aussie rotor heads come through here, so try posting again on www.ausrotary.com, you'll get a faster response from people more knowledgeable than myself on that site.

With the women if you are a black guy and wearing a uniform, should have the girls ready to rip your clothes off pronto.

A white guy.... the accent should still work like a charm, but not quite the same novelty value, unfortunately. (but you should have more luck than the usual British backpacker though!!)

As to the cost of living, Sydney is the most expensive capital city, although as alluded to in the previous post, you may be able to get some cheap digs on the front line in Lakemba and Auburn if not in Cronulla or Maroubra.

On a more serious note, I believe NSW police have recruited in the UK recently, so should be some job opportunities there.

There are some really great people on there, but unfortunately heaps of idiots too...

Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to figure out which is which

Good luck...
