10A value?

10A value?
Picking your brains for info, please.
What's an estimated value for this 10A? Story is that it purchased as a GM (yes, General Motors) test engine and has very limited run time. Looks clean, complete and is in its original crate. It has TCP rotor housings. That's all the info I have.
As long as I'm asking, is there an international market for NOS 10A and 12A 6mm apex seals and what are the going prices?
Thanks!

value is in the eye of the beholder with gems like these. unfortunately the carbon seal engines had very short lifespans and that is why they were only produced for the first few short years to get the cars to market.
good for nostalgia, bad for reliability. even jay leno opted to do away with his original engine in his 110s cosmo. sure i'd keep the original engine in storage to retain value and drop it back in when selling the vehicle to a collector but how much are they worth? no one can really answer that question, i have seen them go cheap before.
market for the original 6mm seals? i don't know. i have never had anyone approach me about restoring an old 12/10A engine, even though i have one stored on the shelf i plan on rebuild just for the sake of having a piece of history but i do not know of anyone who manufactures the 6mm carbon seals and they are NLA and VERY rarely pop up for sale.
i know more people have been looking into restoring the old motors, which is good but it still won't solve the short engine life expectancy issues.

Great find! Unfortunately I dont think they have much of a resale value unless you can find someone looking to do a complete restore to factory specs. I see used and blown 10A engines pop up on yahoo auctions out here but they usually go for $100 or so. Sad to say it but you probably would get more $ from that by tearing it down and selling it as parts. You could most likely pull $100 per rotor, and more for the housings and sideplates I think. The dizzy set up has to be worth a good hunk of change, also the carb should go for 1-$200.
Actually come to think of it I may know a guy interested in it. PM me your email address and I will put you in contact with him.
