wideband and e-85

hi guys i'm posting this since I got this ? about widebands and what a/f ratio target shoot for e-85. I have always thought lambda its lambda and the controller change them to a/f ratio and if I use gas a/f ratio for e-85 I will be safe, recently I talk to a guy that do a lot of tuning and he told me NO AND THAT I'M CRAZY you need a different sensor and controller (alcohol compatible) and shoot for a richer mixture which its totally different of what I been reading here and other forums.my ? its he right? or i'm right and I should still use my gas a/f target for e-85 .I use for idle= whatever the engine like most of the time between 12 and 13, cruise =between 14 and 15 and for full power I shoot for mid 11 to hi 11 depending on how the engines fells and like what you guys think.thanks

YOU are correct.

and no you don't need a different sensor/controller. if anything, AFRs at full power can be a touch leaner than gasoline due to the cooling and octane.

there are many others on the board w more E85 experience but i thought i would put your mind at ease.
