E85 Pre-Mix Test
Am curious to know why your claiming to have used a fresh mix of e85 and not the e70 that one gets at the pump. Forgive my ignorance on the question but its just that around where I live (the upstate in sc) e85 is available in like every gas station. Is this such called e85 fuel not the correct fuel for someone doing a build on e85 set up?

adding to that, the title shouldn't even have "oil" in it. yes it has consistency of oil but it hardly something you should rely on to lubricate high friction surfaces.
i feel like punching a baby whenever someone mentions using MMO as a premix, it's not and should never even be considered no matter what fuel you run.

bumping this thread... bean oil/vegetable oil as premix has some drawbacks... is there anything that is being used that is a regular dino oil that has worked?
let's hear from you E85 guys.

I always have been using benol from Klotz for the last 3 years on my starlet 13b turbo e85. I started using it with my FD for 2 months no issue. Never had to open one of my engines since I switched to e85 so seems to not give me any problems. Maybe soon will refresh the motor on the starlet but runs fine.
I recently opened an engine that was running E85 and the super techniplate klotz. It was super gummy everywhere inside. I am curious if anyone else has seen this?

talked w James/Klotz-Tech today. it appeared he knew his stuff re our rotaries and he suggested Super Techniplate. it has 20% bean oil and the remainder is a synthetic that is soluble w ethanol.
i had very little build up from 1/2 oz of Benol but other who are running more have had significant coating of their primary port walls.
i also checked out Redline. they have a new '2 Cycle Alcohol Oil" no caster.... synthetic. i have a high regard for their pricey products.
no gum...
