I only know of one person who has tried it on any RX-7, it sounds like he had some problems but got it figured out eventually. This was an '86 non-turbo.

Its a really nice system. I ran it on my 2G dsm for a long time. I sold it with the car and now im regreting it. I had alot of help learning mine from a tuner at a local shop. Its pretty user friendly once you get into it.

Is there anyone else using this piggy back? I'm currently boosting my 6port S5 and I don't want to use Megasquirt like people keep telling me, I have friends using the AEM F/IC on their Na-T IS300s but I can't find any info on the Rotarys with these.....with the exception of the one guy on the AEM forums.

I have tuned a lot of FIC on late model Mazda 3's with very good success. I have had some interest in putting them on automatic FD's, but no one has pulled the trigger yet.
It will work really well for a limited amount of power. Fuel control is really straight forward. I'm sure timing control will work. It is the same trigger pattern and sensor type as Hondas. No Factory O2 FB so, you wont have to worry about that.
As for wiring it up, You can buy patch harnesses from a few companies for your car. You can wire the FIC on the bench into the patch harness and make a PnP adapter. Let me know if you have any questions.

The one question I have is will the F/IC be able to control the primary and secondary Injectors? Also will it work with AUX injection? I'm building a 6port turbo S5 vert for drifting. I'll be using a stock S4 turbo, mani, and TMIC. Only looking for 5-8psi.

The FIC knows the injector signal coming from the the ECU. It adds the amount of fuel you have for the given cell(RPM/Load) in the fuel table and sends it out to the injector. It does this for each injector individually. The input value in the fuel table is a % increase. The factory ECU will still handle the staged injection. The FIC will just control on top of that. If you want you can only add the FIC to the secondary injectors, If you have enough fueling capacity but you just want to control the fuel.
What type of aux injection are you talking about? The FIC can control extra injectors based on current factory ones. So, you can add two more injectors that will essentially duplicate the secondaries. It does not have any provision to control a water/meth system. Those systems are easily integrated anyway.

I was just wanting to add Water inj kind of as a fail safe and not really a power adder. What would be the pros/cons of only using the F/IC on just the secondaries? I'm trying to do this as safely as possibly, low boost with a very conservative tune and water inj.

I cant really say if there are pros and cons. You will have to set the FIC up to what is needed. If the AFRs are close but need some adjustment then you can get away with just doing secondaries. If the car is really lean you will need to add a lot of fuel and you may need to do it through both primary and secondary injectors.

None that I know are available for an S4. Only the S5. Yes a jumper harness will make it easy. If you know of a S4 jumper harness let me know and I can put one together.

jumper harness...I found one at Banzai Racing for an S4 ECU to plug into...something else APEXi Power FC Adapter Kit (86-88 RX-7). Getting this harness to work (customizing) is going to cost as much as the F/IC, almost. The total cost for the harness and a piggyback, could almost equal a full blown standalone.
The thing is, I want to be able to unplug and go back to stock ECU with ease, incase I sell the car, and then sell the F/IC separately.
(I'm hoping to get a piggyback setup with a $500 budget...and I still need a wideband)
