VERSION 12 is now available!
VERSION 12 Software and Firmware for Select and e420c:
Hi guys,
So you can download the full installer here - https://www.adaptronic.com.au/downloads/
Lots of new features! Just installs over the top of V10 and includes V10 and V12 firmware.
Many of these features people with V10.127 already have, but here is the full list of new functions since version 10:
- Arbitrary RPM / load spacing on fuel / ignition maps
- Variable injection timing
- Various trigger modes (improved Nissan, Mitsubishi Triton, Nissan M35/VQ35, xJZGTE VVTI)
- Higher resolution flex fuel tuning
- Faster communications
- Higher resolution TPS and MAP for logging / display
- Innovate SSI4 input, oil, fuel pressure monitoring and engine protection
- Various improvements in transient throttle (open loop fuel during transition, disable pump on constant throttle, additional async when cold)
- PLX wideband input, PLX gauge output
- Motec PLM input
- Direct mode Race Technology output (no need for ECU interface now)
- Basemaps and pinouts for for RX7 plug-in ECUs
- Improved large plenum charger mode for supercharged engines, smoothness / antiflare on throttle off / upshifts
- Individual percentage point ignition cut mode for smoother traction control
- Twin turbo control / precontrol output for twin turbo RX7
- Injector characterisation built-in for Injector Dynamics injectors
Cheers.

hi Mark, probably should have posted this on the adaptronic forum, but I'm here now.
For guys who may be browsing during a lunch break at work etc, it may be helpful if you can provide a non installer download link for a current copy of the manual and maybe even executable wari file so they can check things on systems whose admin rights for use of installer software are locked down. I know there have been several occasions where i would have posted responses to forum questions if I could check over the manual to make sure what I was going to post was right but I couldn't on the system I was on.

Hi Slides,
Thank you for the suggestion, that's a good one! I'll mention it to Andy so we can talk about it when we do our meetings.
We haven’t updated the manual yet, but we're doing that now. We just didn’t want to hold back on the new features after spending so long developing and testing them because people wanted to use them. The next thing we’re updating is the windows 8 driver, user doco and base maps.
Cheers.

Apparently some people have reported that after running the V12 installer, the older version WARI inside the computer didn't get updated to a V12 one. Hence some have used an older WARI to update to a V12 firmware which will not work.
We are looking at this at the moment, as we have tested the installation successfully on our own PCs before we did the release. A successful installation should have a new WARI inside the WARI folder (dated April 2014 or shows V12 in the Help menu), and the Version 12 (.adf) firmware file.
Otherwise, another way of doing this successfully is to uninstall all WARI applications through the "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel, and installing V12 fresh. Then you could proceed in updating the ECU with the V12 firmware using the V12 software.
Thanks.

Mark,
I think we should do a step by step walk through with screen shots( for windows 8), on how to install the new software, and firmware.
If anyone needs help in the meantime you can email myself( elliot@turbosource.com) or tech@adaptronic.com.au .
Andy and I are already working on the next firmware update too!

MarkG, I uninstalled Wari through the Add/Remove Programs, and installed the new V12 fresh. When I open Wari with the ECU connected and do the firmware upgrade, it still brings up a prompt saying: "WARNING: some of the settings in WARI may have no effect, due to the old firmware version in the ECI (10.000). This version of WARI is intended for version 12.000 firmware."
Hi mate,
That would be normal if the ECU's firmware is still < v12. You can check the current firmware the ECU is running by hitting F11.
To update the firmware, follow this picture (attached).
Thanks.

I bought one about a month ago and just installed it in my car, downloaded and installed v12 on win8.1 and plugged it into the ECU and WARI never recognizes the ECU. The ECU's light turns on when plugged in to the PC and the PC chimes as well but WARI still ask for the ECU to be connected via USB.
Also I cannot find where the firmware files are located, cant find any files with the extension .adf

MarkG thanks for the help. SpoolinRX I don't know if this helps but I will try. You will need to go to https://www.adaptronic.com.au/downloads/ and get the version 12 download. I uninstalled the v10 first, and then installed V12 fresh. Then following MarkG's picture update the firmware on the ECU. When I clicked the "load" button it would automatically bringing up my "Downloads" folder, and the file was not there. For me, I had to go to C:\Program Files (x86)/Adaptronic Engine Management\WARI to find the V12 firmware file needed to update the ECU. Hope this helps.
I have now updated to V12. I uninstalled my current V10 as suggested. Connected my ECU then updated my firm ware on the ECU as posted above.
Now my ECU status say Swift GTI MK1 MK 2/3 ECU connected. I then hit the secret button and selected it to 42 Rx7 Series 4. nothing changes. (My sticker on my Plug and play clearly shows series 4 rx7 which is what I ordered) I never loaded any new maps during this firmware update.
What went wrong or what did I do wrong?
Strange as prior on V10 it said unknown ECU detected on the status bar yet the map appeared to be set for a rotary. Now the ignition is clearly not for a rotary. Also there is no S4 base map for plug and play included in the V12 update. I assumed the base map is preloaded. (edit. Maybe the ignition is ok not sure. I'm seconding guessing because the ecu says its a MK1. I could compare them to my Haltech maps. Right now it says Trigger angle 6, 156, 126, 96, 66, 36. 2 cycle 180degree fire after 2 periods)

SpoolinRX, can you try to follow the steps described here - Troubleshooting USB comms on Select ECUs There is supposed to be a work around thing (on the last post) that people do for Win8 systems. I haven't tried it myself yet, as I don't have a Win8 machine.
At the moment, Andy's also working on this so that people don't have to do the work around in the future. But I think Windows has changed a lot of things, so we all might have to reinstall new files / drivers when this gets sorted.
Thanks.

Ian, that is weird! Did the ECU status displayed correct when I told you to try 10.126?
Can you please email your current ECU file to mark@adaptronic.com.au? Just do a File + Save as to grab a current copy.
Thanks.

No, and I cant find any info on it. Do you know it or have a link? My PC is saying that it has a IWD Bus Emulator driver error that I cant seem to fix, I am guessing this is the culprit. Also when I try to load the drivers for the device (ECU) manually it tells me they are corrupt and missing the "hash".
This works on 8.1 for now till the update, Window 8 64bits usb connection with SELECT Ecu Laptop setup
