Tablet for Adaptronic Gauge display
Is anyone using a tablet to display gauges from Eugene? I bought an 8" tablet Xiaomi, but it didn't display the gauges right. Also do you have a picture of your setup with the gauges displayed if so. I seen a video with an 8" winbook that looks pretty good setup in a Miata. Thanks.

Yeah it would be nice if you can charge it with another usb port. Or maybe some kind of USB hub as well maybe if it was small enough. I am not sure if that would work for charging as well, but would think so. Your car looks nice and clean on the inside. Yeah I just put a ram ball mount in my tacoma that is pretty awesome that I use with my phone. I did get the one that I can mount a tablet as well if I need to. I been thinking of mounting options in the car as well.

I wish Adaptronic would get around to making an app for Android that can display data from the ECU (someone tell me if they have this now). The Adaptive viewer (3rd party) app does not work well on my devices. I bought a 7" dual din full android stereo (a chinese joying unit) with the intent of being able to display electronic gauges on it but have been waiting....

Shell Shrader who wrote Adaptive Tuner was an earlier adopter (for RX8) and quite receptive to changes/inputs, but he's moved on from rotaries and no longer updates the app.
It still is free to use.
I run a 7" tablet as well when needed via a suction cup on to the front glass that puts it where most people have the triple gauges at the center speaker, and feel that's the right size.

Unfortunately both Adaptive Tuner and Adaptrackit work only with the Select ECU. No one has updated them and no one wants to which is a shame. I had an android 2din and used it to display gauges but once I've upgraded my ECU it's totally useless since I can't see any gauges.

With the Modular ECU, you can run a gauge display using a tablet, without the need for an external app, if it is running on Windows 10. Unfortunately, tablet manufacturers are turning away from smaller tablets, in particular those running Windows 10. I looked into it recently and in the Windows environment, manufacturers have moved to 2-in-1 laptop computer/tablet computers, meaning everything is over 10" display and expensive enough to make any of dedicated automotive gauge displays a more attractive offering (Adaptronic Modular will work with most of these automotive gauge displays).
Adaptronic did say they planned to adopt OBDII output for the Modular, like the Haltech Elite, which allow it to output data straight to any of the free/cheap OBDII Android and iOS gauge apps. But this was several years ago and I wouldn't count on it happening any time soon.

I had my Adaptronic Select e440d with android 2din and using Adaptrackit I was able to view gauges on my stereo which was awesome and made my interior look neat without any analog gauges.
These two third party android apps are no longer updated and they do not work with the modular ECU. (Silly me to think they would work) so I don't want to go back to the old ECU just because of that. I mean who would?
I have emailed both developers of these apps and they are not interested in updating them. If only Adaptronic would get around to making an android app for viewing gauges... or at least give us obd2 compatibility.
This sucks

Is there any update from Adaptronic on tablet/guage functionality, specifically using an android tablet/headunit/phone? As others have mentioned, there are almost no tablets which come in 7" size and windows 10 - though I did find this cheap one: 7" GoTab? Windows 10? Tablet - Refurbished - GoStore
Looks like it's sold in the UK @ £60. Its likely low spec, and also I'm unsure how you would be able to hook this up to play audio through the oem stereo wiring/harness, if at all possible?

It was an EONON 2din unit
You will not be able to use it to play music plus it's gonna be really slow thus a pain getting in the car having to start that up every time and try and run Eugene on it.
Plus Adaptronic don't really care from what I know. They were bought by Haltech. Haltech make an OBD2 adapter for their ECUs. They should have cared more to make it compatible.

Snow EH?

I recently just picked up an Asus Yea T101HA 2 in 1 for this situation. Im running the m1200 ecu in my S4 TII. My car is still in storage (under 3' of snow) so I don't know how well it will run for data logging and tuning. The specs were sufficient to what Adaptronic recommended so I'm hopeful.
Has anyone made any progress on a nice gauge layout in Eugene? Im just starting to play with the gauge page but hesitant to do much as I've had issues in the past creating a layout and not having it save.
