2 adaptronics. First time tuning
So I have setup a megasquirt in the old days but it's been.....years ago, got that project to idle and somewhat drive but that's all then the project was sold.
Last year I bought a modular m2000 PNP for my Eunos cosmo. I have yet to install it. I was waiting for the 5 speed swap first. But recently , I decided to jump on the emod0011 or whatever it is. For the FD rx7 that's PNP.
I currently have apexi pfc. But it's getting old and having some issues... commander doesn't display well, no datalogit, and 5v output not working and bypassed. All in all would be about $400 or so to have repaired.
Turbo source had the PNP rx7 adaptronic on sale right now for $799 so I jumped on it.
My current mods are.
Non sequential twins.
Large street port exhaust, mild intake ,( maybe be on the exhaust side only I can't remember, been a while since the rebuild.) Braps pretty nice.
Greddy Front mount IC
CATless midpipe 3", HKS carbon cat back
No AC or PS
Fresh rebuilt JDM trans and 4.10 rear diff.
Stock injectors. Walboro 255lph
11lb flywheel with rx8 clutch setup / bell housing swap.
On my PFC car runs 10 psi of boost max unless it's cold I've seen it hit 12.
I've mostly just dialed my idle and cruise on my PFC as that's the easiest but runs ok on the stock apexi map.
So with the timing.. is there a recommendation on max timing I should run or is the adaptronic map pretty good for my mods,. And with afr, should I shoot for 11s while in boost and 13s in my idle and cruise.
Forgive me for not knowing too much. I have been reading but there's so much for me to learn. But I'm trying.

I don't think the Adaptronic will be too hard to tune if you've done a MS tune before. As always, check and double check your sensor calibrations. I'm having good results with an emod11 FD pnp unit. Some stuff to be aware of on the base map. The idle speed controller should be 244hz which was wrong on the base map. Significantly lower throttle sensitivity for transient acceleration enrichment to fix throttle tip in bogs. Lower the VE for cranking enrichment when hot to improve hot starts. Ask if you are struggling with anything.
This is the timing map I'm currently running. The motor has a Pineapple street port. It has been used with 92 octane Washington fuel up to 15 psi on a t88 single turbo. The base map from Adaptronic was more aggressive in some places and less in others. You should be able to replicate whatever works well from your PFC tune if you like that one.

you have to go the original Adaptronic AU website, make sure you archive copies in a safe place for future access.
Customer support will end around May 22, but whether the website will be around after is anyone’s guess. You should assume it won’t because at some point it will likely get canned. Hence the need to archive copies of everything while you still can.
