Actually, he's not a "teenager," he is probably 25.

How long have you been driving your car with the 100% anti-freeze?

I really doubt he has 100% anti-freeze (maybe he thinks that anti-freeze == coolant, thus, of course he has 100% coolant in there) -- then again, maybe I am giving him too much trust.

I think you need to take this car back to were you bought it from, you really dont possess the, how do you say, 'common sense' to own it.

I was a responsible and mature teenager. I was also an immature dipshit compared to myself now. When all you indignant teens get older, you'll feel the same way. One of life's biggest lessons is how little you really know and it's almost impossible for a young person to fully grasp that fact.

Life is a learning experience. If he ***** his car up, it can always be fixed and maybe then in the future he wont make the same mistake.
With the falling prices of our cars we will encounter more and more younger buyers. But, how can we blame them? The FD is an amazingly beautiful, fast and now, inexpensive car.

Being irresponsible is a state of mind, i know plenty of 25-30 year old dipsh*ts. Age != maturity.

That's true and I almost added that qualifier to my post. But most 25-30 year old dipshits weren't responsible mature teenagers either. If you are mature and responsible now, it is highly likely you will continue to develop as a person. As you do, years from now, you will look back at your life now and go -- god, I was a little dipshit! Trust me, it will happen.

I think there should be a test before being allowed to purchase an FD. It should include basic common sense questions about cars, and other things in life.

Sorry Carlo, you have flunked the test. Give your car to someone that might have a chance to pass.

Hahaha. I gotta agree with rynberg. When I was a teenager I like to think I had my act together. I was on my own with my own job paying my own bills much earlier than most of my other friends. When I got a few years older I realized that even though I was better than most I had some more to go yet

Down in san diego which is were i am (as well as flip) its been near 100 degrees the past few days its no wonder his car overheated with 100% antifreeze. I run about 70% water + water wetter and the rest antifreeze.

Carlo,
Anti-freeze doesn't cool as well as water... it just keeps the water from freezing. I would go 50/50 at the minimum, if not 70/30 (more water). And get a shop to put a decent water temp guage on it!

I would go with the 70/30 right now during the summer. I don't think you have much of a chance of the water in your radiator freezing in Cal. during the summer.

I think the test to own a FD should be like that commercial where the guy tackles the shopping cart so that it doesn't hit his car. Oh and you should have to read the whole Scudciriani (sp?) website before even test driving it.
