yup Boost Issue...Need trouble shootin advice

Ok Guys..here goes:
The car is a 93 R1 with 3" exhaust( incl. dp), intakes,Fpr, and most importantly Re Amemiya ECU. After we finally got everthing dialed in, car ran like a dream for a couple of days ...then it struck....BOOST PROBLEM.
Basically I know there is a intermittent leakbecause
1.its audible ( when i back off the gas)
2.Sometimes it holds to 14PSI other times its not crossing 10PSI
3.Some sputering issues began as this incident occured.

I've pressure checked the Intake and outflow to the Intercooler. Also did a visual of the Vaccum lines to the BOV's etc. Thinking about changing out some of them though they "appear ok"
Please point me in the right direction

I assume you're trying to get 14psi - it's not clear if that's your goal.

First I would test both of the check valves feeding the pressure chamber and vacuum chamber. I would also test to ensure the lines on those circuits absolutely aren't leaking. Sometimes a hose stays connected but is stretched out enough to leak - a zip-tie will fix that.

Second, it's important to know what your boost is doing below 4500 and above 4500. Is this car sequential? If the problem is above 4500, then I would look at the fact that 14psi at the manifold tends to generate around 15psi in the pressure tank. 15psi is plenty of pressure to make the turbo control pressure solenoid stick, even a brand new solenoid. If running at 12psi 10psi solves the problem, I would consider that extra evidence. The solution is to install a miniature pressure regulator off of the pressure tank, so that the boost can be 14psi but the tank will stay at 10psi.

Dave,
thanks for the reply. The turbos are still sequential and yes i'd like to go back to the 14psi. Need to do a such to locate the items you mentioned ( not as mechanically inclined as u guys). Asuume they are within the rats nest!
