Are you guys satisfied with your cars?
I gotta know how everyone else copes with it, because last night I took my car out and it just doesn't feel as 'fast' as it used too...I know I'm becoming immune to the speed...
So are you guys satisfied with your cars? Or do you crave more and more speed like it's some addictive drug?

I know what you mean....There always seems to be a better way to get faster...I guess thats the fun in it...Fooling around and tweaking and then jumping in the seat to feel if there's a difference. When you start modding heavily the little things can be a major difference in performance..I will never be satisfied until I am in the 11's.When I get there I will probably want 10's. Although right now I want to stay sequential and 11's realiably seems to be a dream....Oh well..Time will tell.......

Well, I think I could always use more POWER!
Overall my R1's faster than 90% of the cars I see out on the road. It's only I line up next to a Z06, 996 Twin Turbo, when I wish I was running an M2 Stage III setup with all the underpinning goodies

Im satisfied with my car even though she's having some problems. While she was down I was stuck driving NA MR2's and got used to it...even though im getting 0 boost, i could get my car up to speed and 120 felt FAST! Before, I could handle going 120-130 like it wasn't shiet...now I can't hang... I gotta learn my car all over again.
I've got the speed bug in me too...after a little while, 110 feels like 60, and only after 130 do things start getting interesting.
I suggest not driving your car for a few days, or make it a weekend car if you see it as a problem.

Well, that's just the thing...this is my weekend toy...I took it out for 20 whole miles this week! Whee! I'm usually driving my 4cyl S-10 which is a real dog...
I dunno...I guess maybe it was a bad night? I know sometimes it seems our cars take on a personality of their own....maybe she was feeling a 'little under the weather'....

yes.......
I am satisified with my car. Sure, like most others I would like to have it be a little quicker, a little faster, but really.........
Think about it.
How often, meaning what percentage of your driving, is spent this way?
I guess what I am saying is that one can start racking up an enormous expense, that usually shortens the life of the engine, and is likely to lead to the increased risk of jail time, accident and injury, or death.
Death.....****.....think about it.
The street is NO place for an 11 second car. And as much as I enjoy blasting up to 150 mph + every now and then, it is sort of...ludicrous to do so on a regular basis....
If I had my car capable of faster speeds, I know that I would use it. And maybe it is splitting hairs, after all, I doubt the jail time is any worse for 180 mph over 150 mph.....
No, if I feel the need for real speed, I will build a purpose built race car, something that would run in the 10s. THAT is more than fast enough for me. ****, my ***** tingles in the FD when I take it to the limit!

im stopping at 350-360rwhp... anything over that is overkill for the streets and will be too easy to lose traction in the twisties.
Bajaman is right on target...
more hp = less room for errors

Yeah I think everyone starts to get used to the speed in any car even a FD, that is why there are so many people wanting to go faster and faster. And if it does get to be a problem you could try doing as suggested and let your car sit for a couple days or be a weekend car. But I don't see "the need for speed" being a huge problem. I know I had my car at KDRotary before and I went to pick it up after 3 months and it was like reliving the first day I bought it. It felt incredibly fast.

Drive a slower car for a couple of weeks. Then drive the FD. You will see how it feels like Love all over again

I'm stopping around 320rwhp at 12psi... I'm addressing the fuel system now with a Bosch Pump, RRFPR and possible larger injectors which I might not need since I'm going to run 12psi 99% of the time. The key for me is not to drive it all the time...because then when I do drive it...it's almost like the first time everytime...I have so much fun. Actually I'm pretty much done with the car...some interior dressup...maybe a high flow cat and some aero pieces.. Some stuff I already have but just need to install.

I agree with the others.
When I first got my car, it was a daily driver. Eventually I got used to it and it didn't feel "fast". Just felt like an everyday car. Well, when I had to do the engine replacement, I drove a Neon for 3-4 months. When the FD returned, it definitely felt like a new car.
So after that I kept a daily beater around and that helps to keep my FD feeling "fast".
However, no matter what I modify on the car, I still want more. In that respect, I'll never be satisfied, just content.
I'm looking to stop around 300 or so rwhp.

I'm driving a lifted jeep wrangler with a top speed of about 80mph so whenever I get my FD back from the shop where it is getting some tweaking done, it will feel like a dream all over again. The slow jeep is my daily driver so it definitely keeps a 160+ mph vehicle feeling like new.

No, I'll be satisfied after about $3,000 more of performance mods I think though, and plus getting all the current body work done, and getting all the squeaks out of the interior and fixing up the interior a bit, and rims.

I am JUST ABOUT satisfied with the power I have now, but am now itching to work on the handling. Of courst that just means that after I get the suspension upgraded to my liking I will need MORE POWER
