Question can u damage turbo when u blow a apex?

I heard somewhere before that when u pop a apex seal u can damage the turbo if u drive around with the seal blown..

I'm no expert, but i think that the apex seal fragments can get blown through the turbo housing and damage the turbines. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah you can damage the turbo from having apex seal fragments getting blow into the turbo, just ask wannawankel

Well I dont know what the real story is but I remember his car was at KD and Dave was tuning it. Blew the motor on the dyno and ruined the turbo with the pieces going into the exhaust wheels...Dave assumes no resonsability for dyno tuning...

I would not assume any responsibility for dyno tuning either, the real kicker is he put a t88 kit on a stock motor with 70k on it, and expected it to last forever. I know he was trying to sell his pfc, intercooler, etc, but the whole car is on the parts trader with the parts he is trying to sell on it for like 29k..

good lord another $5 grand and i would buy ari's car maybe less.
man thats too much i know our cars are perfect but damn aint platinum

Yes it can! From experience,, I blew the apex on my car just as I hit secondary and the miniscule apex piece hit the turbine fin and totally obliverated it. It doesn't take much, just a little piece the size of the tip on a ball-point pen or smaller.
