dont burn too many bridges. This forum has a wealth of knowledge between the older members and old post. if I had found it back in 98 i would have never sold my seven.

If he's got enough money to put where his mouth is I'm sure some "old guy" named John Force would be willing to take it. If tracks with turns are more his thing some "old guy" named Michael Schumacher might be willing. The entry cost to race with the big boys is kinda high though. You could probably setup a car to run against Force for around $5 mill at least for a few events. To go after what most consider the best driver in the world currently your entry cost is a bit higher $30 mil or so but you could probably pay Minardi $5 mil to drive one of their cars for a season.

Just because you can outrun your friends in their Civic HX with cut springs and no hubcaps doesn't make you a good driver. More important than your racing dreams is your extreme lack of humility even when you are ignorant on a subject. Learn this now, nobody ever knows everything and you can learn things from unexpected souces if you listen instead of offend them.

if i were you id read through every tech post i could find on this site and really pay attention to them, this forum is almost like a rotary textbook, you can learn alot from it. i did.
