**** here we go again...

OK, the first thing you do is go out and buy a boost controller and turn up the boost to about 15 psi. See, the guys at Mazda were way too conservative when they tuned the car stock, so you have to turn up the boost to maximize the horsepower. With that you should be pushing about 600 hp to the wheels. Then you need to go out and get a downpipe, midpipe, and cat-back exhaust. Don't forget the short shifter so you can ShIfT MaD qWiK y0! Then go out and boost the hell out of it on the hottest day of the year to make sure everything is seated properly. After that, buy a big wing to maximize your downforce and 2 big bottles o' NAWCE. That should about do it.

That, or sell the car...

by reading your profile, you need to get a bicycle.
street racing + 15 years old + FD = kill some one but you.
You need to be more considerate about other people around you. You think you can drive? I don't know how.

On the other if you really have a FD first mod for you get a DP, MP, CB, intake. You need to bring the boost as hi as you can. Then when the motor blows an Apex seal and you realize that you can afford the new motor then sell it cheap.

700 dry shot of NAAWWWWS and make sure you mount a big red button on your steering wheel with 'N20' right next to it, it also helps if you have lots of vinyl graphics on the side of your car. You should also get a 15" tachometer with a 3" shift light on it and mount it right in the middle of your dash. After that save up for some 22" rims because the bigger they are the faster your car goes.

On a more serious note, after you wreck or decide you're sick of having your car not running you could part it out on the Classifieds here. I've seen a few people looking for stock main cats, air pumps and many other things recently.

OMG

You people honestly think age matters when it comes to driving. Sure if a kid is like 9 years old but just cause im 15 dont make a big difference in my ability to perform well at the wheel. I'm not some little kid with a brand new car daddy bought me so i can be cool and race. I got this car cause driving IS my life its all i think about.

Age doesn't matter, but skill is acquired. Not only DRIVING, but MAINTAINING. See, this is no Civic. It breaks down - a lot, and even more so if you do something stupid. It's temperamental. When things break, you can't take it to the corner mechanic. You have to find a specialist and pay a lot and wait a long time (because they get backed up sometimes) or you'll have to do the work yourself, which is easier said than done. Not knocking your age, but it takes a certain level of maturity to own one of these cars, and through what you first said,
Anyways i was wondering if anyone could tell me wut a good first mod i could do to it for better hp but not costing alot cause i spent my load on this and gotta raise more money for modifications.
shows that you are probably just a kid diving into the deep end with a rock around his neck. My BEST advice for you is to either SELL THE CAR, or to SAVE YOUR MONEY - not for mods, but for repairs. Because there will be many coming soon.

It sure as hell does. Nothing can replace years of experience behind the wheel. There's a reason young drivers have to pay an assload of $$ for insurance versus us older guys. Gee.. I wonder why.. Try tellilng your insurance agent that your age shouldnt matter

...just cause im 15 dont make a big difference in my ability to perform well at the wheel...
You're kidding right? EXPERIENCE makes all the difference in driving. It's not something genetic that you're born already good at. Everyone will agree on this point. You become a better driver by driving more, getting seat time @ autoX and track events etc. "Racing" (by your definition anyway), doesn't count.

Seriously, just grow up, you need to realize that because you saw a few F&F movies here and there and that you took daddy's car out for a joyride once or twice, you're not a good driver. Unless you've been karting since you were 8-9 years old, you have NO experience behind the wheel of a high powered sports car, especially one with the power and the capability of an RX-7.

If "driving is your life" you would've been researching the car and asking questions and the like. Not coming onto a forum, not bothering to read a single thing stickied, and then expecting not to get flamed when you ask stupid questions that reveal your immaturity. Hell, I'm surprised that you don't have "I live my life one 1/4 mile at a time" quoted right under "Love to race cars even though its illegal and im underage but dont give a s***. "

Good luck with your new car

its really tragic, i really feel bad for that FD that the kid says he has. Like someone said we will prolly be seeing it on the classifieds soon. And about the age topic, im 19 and i just bought my 93FD this past october. The rx7 has always been my dream car and i have always wanted one. But what im trying to get at is I DID NOT want to buy the car this past october, i was planning on buying one a year or two from now. WHY you ask did i buy one then, i had a 96vtec prelude and i loved that car also and ended up getting in an accident with it which the insurance company then said it was totaled and put a salvage title on it. So my choices were keep the car and get it fixed with the insurance money and then when it comes time to sell i wasnt going to get near half of what i paid and put into the car, or i just use the insurance money to buy a new car. So yea i found a deal on a FD and grabbed it up as quick as i could. But these cars are not anything to mess around with, first its a rotary engine and MOST shops out there arent going to touch it, or they will but end up screwing something up cause they dont know **** about rotaries. Second you should be prepared to either have tons and tons of money for repairs, or like me you are willing to fix everything yourself to save you all that money on labor. And if you decide to go the "im gonna fix it myself route" youd better be doing as much researching on the car as you possibly can. Thats all i do in my spare time is just read about my car, thats the only way to go. And the last thing i wanted to say is that DRIVING skill only comes with expierence or age. I have been driving for 4 years, and i know that my driving skills are nothing compared to those that have been doing this **** for 10-20 years, you just cant even compare. I mean my dad is a huge race car driver, races all over the country all year-round, hes on speedvision everynow and then and once or twice a year he might have one on NBC or ABC on tv. But even with him teaching me some things and showing me some tricks i know that driving only comes with expierence, and its the older guys that are better drivers cause they have much more expierence

Even I agree with the old guys...I understand the results of being an inexpereiced young driver. I'm still only 18 but I hope I've lived and learned a but and I cross my fingers and pray I'm a smarter person.

This is what happens when you're too young:

I can't tell if this is really a kid that is being honest, or some troll trying to get a rise out of people.

Either way, don't feed the animal(s).

St33tRac3rx7- If you are serious about the car and would like to learn, then I am all for it. But don't insult people directly, and try to come to an understanding that you are indeed 15 years old, and do not have the driving skills you *think* you do.

That is not saying you are not capable of driving a car down the road, but rather you have no practical road experience.

Play nice, and enjoy your stay.

Hello Mr. Troll! Rotary owner or not you're a troll or imposter(and can't spell also). You want to learn about the FD then shut your pie-hole, use search, and ask intelligent q's about the car so we don't waste our time with you. Otherwise if you wrap it around a telephone pole we'll feel very bad. For the car.

im 18, i got mine when i was 16. had to work 2 jobs at 35+ hours. almost failed school. if you want something you can mess around with go get a mustang or civic or something. they are cheap and insurance isnt bad either. Plus you dont have sit in your car for 3 minutes when you start it and decide if its running right or not. these require real tuning, not stickers and half-*** boltons. im not knocking you, im saying think about this seriously.
