Yet another "what's it worth" question

Yet another "what's it worth" question
I have a 93 Montego Blue Touring.
It has 140,000 miles on the chassis and 80,000 on a rebuild/reman.
Body is in decent shape, i'd say 7 out of 10 due to some rock chips. Windshield could be replaced. 2-3 small dings on the body. Was in a minor accident at one time. Front drivers side was damaged. I didn't own it when it happened, but it looks like nothing major. Skin damage and some slight bending in the headlight area. It looks like everything is in check (otherwise, i wouldn't have bought it )
Interior is in good shape. 7.5 out of 10. The drivers seat was replaced with a 40,000 mile seat last summer, so bolster wear is minimal. Everything works and looks like it is supposed to. The panels have the normal 93 peeling issues.
Mechanically:
Compression is low but even throughout the chambers, but it still runs reasonably well considering, starts everyday, pulled 280rwhp @12psi on a load dyno two weeks ago with a high 10 AFR, and ran a 12.9 @113 last weekend at the track. I would have no doubts that it would run AT LEAST another 10,000 - 20,000 miles of normal to slightly aggressive street driving. Most of the miles on the car are highway miles. I know, miles are miles, but the condition of the car shows that it hasn't been abused for 140k miles of city driving.
No 5th gear grind, diff could be adjusted or replaced (it has a little slop in it, never raced with slicks though). ALL suspension bushings have been replaced within the last year. Freshly rebuilt twins. Brakes and clutch still have plenty of friction material. Vacuum line simplification with silicone lines within the past 2 months.
Lots of other stuff has been replaced, i just can't think of it all right now. Fluids changed VERY regularly. Engine oil every 2000miles.
I try to keep everything in "A" condition. As a matter of fact, the diff may be getting a looking over within the next few weeks.
Mods and a pic are in the sig.
I have been toying with the thought of selling it and buying a 94-95 with fewer miles and a different color.
If I don't do that, I will be stripping it down to the chassis for a complete overhaul and sweet paint job.
Basically what would you pay or what do you think i can get out of it? Obviously, i'm not in any kind or rush since i don't know if it even want to sell it. Having to wait to get more money for it is not a problem. Just looking for some ideas so I can make some future plans.
Thanks guys,
Ryan

For the $$ you will pay for a newer car with less miles, you'd probably be better off keeping yours and refreshing her a bit. Unless of course you keep your mods for the new car.
Then again... I HAVE seen a few 94 and 95's go for awefully cheap!
Guess it depends on what you can get for yours and what the difference between that and a newer one will be. Good luck, either way!

that's kinda what i am leaning toward.
I know it seems like a pretty trivial thing, but I want a different color. And if i'm going to do it, i might as well do it right....like by stripping everything down and painting the whole car whatever color i finally decide. but that is going to be ALOT of time and work. I have a feeling i will know my car more intimately than i care to, although we're already pretty close.
I'm graduating here next week, so i suppose it will also depend on how everything pans out with the job and location.
any more estimates?

If you have a car that you know runs well then keep it. Its better then selling it and getting into something that has the potential for getting you in over your head in repairs, especially since it is the SAME car.

oh and one more thing, how much more stiff is the body on a non sunroof car vs. one with a sunroof?
TurboJeff, i'm sure you've owned both Care to give some insight?
That's another reason i want a different car; headroom and chassis stiffness

I'd say between $10k-$12k, although you weren't quite clear about the accident, was the damage repaired? That would make a big difference. If the damage was repaired to the point where you can't tell it was in an accident and the only problems are the dings and old paint, then that would put it closer to $12k imho. Also it all depends on what you mean by 7.5/10 when describing the interior and exterior. The engine is old of course but if you're pulling 280HP it probably just needs a little refresh and it'll be good as new.

yes, the damage has been fixed, But you can tell that it was in an accident. the little ring that goes around the headlight area was bent and you can tell that it was bent back. (the ring that most sleek light kits bolt to). The driver's head light assembly is *slightly* crooked.
10 being brand new interior, i'd rank mine somewhere around 7, at least a 6. Some platstic panels are mildly scratched, normal wear and tear stuff. Leather is in good shape, not perfect, but good. There are no broken/non operational parts.
Thanks for the opinions, I may just end up keeping it afterall. I just have to find a way to fit in it semi comfortably with a helmet on..
