Talking Yet another picture-thread! (Big Pics)

I've noticed that many of the veterans of this forum seem to dislike picture-threads, but I enjoy coming on here and seeing other people's RX-7's, and figured I'd post some new pics that I took for anyone that wants to see 'em. Yeah, I know my car is pretty much stock and nothing special, but I like the stock looks.

The comparison to the Corvette is interesting. The two cars are very similar in size, stance and a whole lot of other factors. I wouldn't have thought about this without your photos. By the way, a friend of mine had the Corvette model with the split in the rear window (1966? not sure of the year). Appearance is about as close as the two get. I know that vette is worth a lot as a collector's item, but I'll keep my 7. There's no comparison in the area of performance.

The '67s have the split rear window. My dad used to have a '66 with an L88 427 in it, the car was a monster.

Thanks for posting pics of the two cars side by side, definitley interesting. Your paint looks good

I definitely enjoy seeing picture threads, but when it's the same people over and OVER again *cough* you and rx7twinturboboy *cough* it starts getting a little old. We've seen your cars and have told you how nice we think they look. At a certain point though it just becomes a waste of space when there are over 50 pictures of the same car with no changes to it whatsoever.

Now with that said, nice car man

Its not that we dont like "check my car out" threads, its the placement of the thread. Some of us would rather see these in the audio/visual section and keep this part technical.

And thats a fine looking ride man

Yeah, it looks the same as it did the last 2 times you posted.

At least put a wing on it or something.

thats what i was thinking, there is a dedicated audio/visual forum, i come in here to browse the technical threads and learn about the car... while i like looking at pictures too, it isn't the reason i come to this forum, although i think i actually made the same mistake of posting pictures in here as well when i first got my car ...

nice car btw, love the vette, my dream car would definitly be a C2 of some sort, sooner or later i'll get a cruiser C3 though, i can't justify spending the money on a C2 ...

actualy only the '63's had the split window...

"1963 would see the introduction of the new Corvette Sting Ray coupé with its distinctive split rear window and fake hood vents as well as an independent rear suspension. The split rear window was discontinued in 1964 due to safety concerns. Because they made the design too busy, the hood vents were also cut."
