He works two jobs while attending college according to his profile.

Pure conjecture here: He's working two slave wage jobs just so he can stroke himself at auto shows and hopefully hook up with all the ghetto chicks lollywagging around.

Just the other day, I saw two Hispanic dude driving around in an early 90s Celica ST with a Veilside front end from a Supra. I shook my head in admiration.

You did a "nice job" on your car

I wouldn't have my car look like that at all because I think it's waaay overdone but it is not my car.

It doesn't look bad that's for sure. It's just a lot of aftermarket parts on it from stock which makes it like a totally different car to me.

If it was awesome in my opinion, then I wouldn't say this so I am definetaly not jealous or anything.

Wasn't the darker blue rx-7 yours too? I believed it got totaled? NOW THAT WAS A FU**CKING HAHHAHA awesome looking car. I even printed a picture of it on good paper and it's on my wall right infront of me now!
On that one I think the back end could have used something and I didn't like the stripes or the spoiler.

poman, you say you don't like it yet you keep coming back to call it ghetto this and ghetto that. Say you don't like it and be done with it. Simple as that. Is ghetto the word of the day or something?

You screwed that car up bad, maybe you should park it my driveway I love the widebody look. I'm gonna have to get that issue now.

And about that widebody 930 comment, maybe it's just me, but I think they look awsome.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I have respect for you and your car because it is at least done right. A little too much for me, but it looks like there is some time and skill put in it.

I would also have to second (or third?) that your car looked better before than it does now, but that's just my opinion.

Crash, i like how everything turn out on the car. very nice and very different from all the other FDs out there. The only thing i see wrong is your wheels sitting too IN. if you get wider rims or even spacers, then you're car will be PERFECT.

congrats on the article of your beast. can't wait till mine

Well there’s a reason why I post about my car on the forum.... "I H-A-V-E A RX-7" (Do you?), and last time I checked, this is the RX7Club is it not? And besides that, Its part of my job keeping my sponsors and consumers happy when new products and such come out; and how the hell do I Impose anything on here? You clicked it, and took your time to read it and reply didn’t you? Oh, and seeing as how the FD was blatantly ripped by the C5…. I don't see how my car is a "ghettoed" up C5, its more of a valid argument the other way around (but then again intelligently comparing my car to a "ghettoed" up civic as well, possibly indicates you don't know much about cars, rotaries, or basically anything .... But that’s ok, I never excepted everyone to like my car or read about it if they don't want to, and based on your registration date, you don't know much about my history here on the forum either, so you wouldn’t understand, but that’s ok, that’s why I post, and in some ways keep the FD from phasing out of the Import Scene, and remain the bad *** car that it still is.

FYI: and if your going to criticizes my "ghettoed" car, then at least come up with something more intelligent to say, or else it just comes off as plain old jealously , get my drift?
OUCH...did he strike a little too close to home?

Anyway, Marvin...don't listen to these jealous haters. You have one phat ride yo. The color, side skirts, rear fenders, and wing aren't really my style (but I'm sure the kids at import shows love 'em ), but other than that...your car looks awesome.

Keep up the good work!

I hate to break it to you, but you have a rice-rocket FD. It looks fast as hell, with all the flares/scoops/spats/gt spoiler... yet I don't see very many performance mods. What's the ratio of money and time spent making it LOOK the way it does (and it is your car so do what you will) to PERFORMING better? How much more GO have you added along with all your SHOW? Can you post what few timeslips you did run? It seems like performance to you is how many new sponsers you can get. Pretty soon you'll have a naked guy on your trunk too....
Don't get me wrong, I like FD exposure in the media, but DAMN if i'm not pissed off when some mag makes fun of Goodfella's 400hp car for having "stock, yes STOCK rims" while you get a photoshoot for looking pretty...
Who cares, hater?

His car is a show car. It has been entered in many shows and magazines, has recieved a lot of publicity on the internet, and I am also pretty sure it draws large crowd every Friday/Saturday night at the local hot-spots. All these people don't care about go. It's all about the show. If he didn't have the body kit, wing, nor ICE, his car would not become popular and it would not win shows. And besides, he does not care about your opinion. Its all about the opinions of the people who attend shows. Sure Goodfella's car might be fast, but it is as popular? Has it won any trophies? Can it bump phat beat crusin at night? No.

Now go away, troll.

Ok, sorry to keep you clowns waiting (series7 and pormanfarri), however, I had other more important pressing matters to attend to. So I couldn’t waste my time entertaining you. Sorry, I have a life and not a jealous vendetta . Anyways, going back to my original post, I attended the Import showoff this weekend with my "ghetto car," and I had a miserable time of course, cause I hate staying there all day, but it wasn’t a total loss. Met some cool people, especially, RX-7 owners, and other sponsors and people interested in my "ghetto car." These pics are just for you:

hhmmm...... I have no Idea why so many people were interested in my ghetto car? maybe my car was in the way or something......

Oh and then just when I was about to leave in my ghetto mobile, they gave me the Top "Mazda Showoff Award,"

Funny, It probably was a mistake that everyone there that saw my car thought it was really nice, or had a lot of effort put into it. I guess maybe that could conclude that you are insane and just jealous, cause I don’t see you two achieving anything of this sort..... and if you want, go right ahead and make a poll to see if my car is ghetto or not, cause I could really careless, and the out come might shock you. The majority of people at the show love my car, but not as much as me, since I built it. And in return I was happy to answer any question they had or problems they needed help with, so just stop being jealous and move on, ok? I don’t like to be mean and if you knew me, or ask anyone that does know me, I’m a pretty easy going guy. But making personal attacks against me or an extension of me (aka my car) will not make me a nice person anymore. But then again, I only care about the opinion of my peers, friends and family. And neither of you two are friends or family, and my Peers in the FD world are people who can relate on my lvl of modifying cars like jimlab, ernieT, even Node, most of the mods, ect… and others who understand what I am doing. Even tho ones who don’t agree with me, but state it in a mature manner, I will even concider my FD peers. To me, both of you are just jealous people who happen to own an FD that don’t even know what to do with. Anyways, Series7, stick with your bone stock vielside FD and go post ***** in the west coast section forum about how Fast and Furious you are. And PormanFari, I do hope you find the other half of your FD. I'll just be here trying my best to help those other FD owners and future owners with decency.

And for you to call my car slow (ask anyone that I have rolled with or know about my car), I will race or take you on at a show any day (oh, btw sorry I took the seven stock 5 award from you series7, which I over heard you say you thought your shizniz was the hottest thing there.., but I saw at least everyone else more qualified to win it over you… yes even the stock one with the LED exhaust tip had more character then yours ). Don't hide behind other peoples Faster or Fancier cars to compare my car to. Put your money where your mouth is, but then again, you couldn’t take me out on anything in the first place.

Their is not one person here with an RX-7 I don’t respect, unless they stole CC's or lied about everything. Everyone gets my respect, since I know what it means to be a real rotary enthusiast.

Oh and about my personal life as far as work, schooling, and anything I don’t want people who disrespect me to know about? Really isn’t something I would like to share with you, so think what you will.

Thanks,

Marvin .

Congrats man. How many trophies do you have all together from entering your car in shows? I'm sure you racked up quite a few over the years. Kudos to you, bro. Also, can you give us some more info on your beat? How many watts does it put out, and what's its max decibel level? Have you dynamatted the enitre cockpit? Also, how come you don't have a PS2 or X Box?

BTW, those hunnies look damn fine behind your car!

Apparently it does! Have you guys been to an Import Showoff here in SoCal? It's all about the Supra taillights on Civics, bright orange interiors w/ps2's, and wings that rival airports. I admit I haven't gone in a few years, mainly because it made me sick. It was all about the fat, ugly 17-19 yr old hootchied out girls showing their fat asses to anyone with a camera. The guys would be off on the sides breakdancing Some of the trophy winners were Civics with
1) 7-Up logo on the sides of a green civic
2) Squirt logo on the sides of a yellow civic
3) (i kid you not) A Thomas Guide logo complete with So.Cal map on the side of a car... all cities/freeways labelled clearly. Since I made fun of them, I guess I'm jealous of that. At least Vanilla Coke isn't taken yet.. Oh yeah, since I made fun of them, that MUST mean I'm jealous as hell. Anything you don't like to hear = Jealously, right?
Mervin, if THIS is what you want in life, then so be it. Congrats! YOU ARE THE UNDISPUTED KING OF THE IMPORT SHOWOFFS. It just seems to me that this forums isn't as show-oriented as you would like. Also, if you want to talk FnF, let me see.... how many other turbo fd's are there with nitrous? The ONLY other turbo fd that I know of belongs to Tom Ngo. You know how much of a favorite his car is since you are such a veteran of this forum. He's got the big spoiler, custom stereo w/tv, crazy exterior, neons, a naked guy doing jumping jacks, and the "NAWZ".
I wouldn't talk crap about Series7's car if I were you. He's prob got more done engine-wise than you have, not that it's very hard to accomplish that despite how long you have owned yours (what was that number you keep repeating? I forgot) He'll spank you like an ugly bluish-purple widebodied stepchild unless you use "a warehouse full of giggle-gas".
Anyways, I believe I have you figured out. I know why you chose to post this SEMA "report" and this Import Showoff coverage of your victory. It's the same reason you repeatedly drone "I'm a well-respected veteran of this forum" and "I'm just trying to raise awareness of ALL fd's". You are after a new sponsor after rotrmotrsports failed to deliver you a single turbo. You need some go-fast goodies to go with your nitrous. Now who better to provide that than certain 'deities' on this forum? HMM And on the same token, who better for the same aforementioned 'deity' to sponsor/advertise than someone who attends shows regularly, "is a well-respected member of this board and all that other b.s." and gosh darn it, just wants the world to appreciate the FD community?
It's your fake-humility and authoritative attitude that gets to me....
Nevertheless, congratulations on achieving what you wanted to do with your car.

Congratulations on all your achievements Marvin. Is there a specific reason you opted to keep the C-West front? I have it also, but notcied so does everyone else. Is that a setback in the import scene? (obviously not for you since that trophy is taller than most people)

PS: When are we gonna get hammered you alcoholic haha.

My two cents:

I saw Crashunit's car at Sevenstock this year.
My impression was that it had a very nicely done body kit.
The exterior appearance is certainly unique and I am sure even the people who do not care for body kits would do a second take just because it is well done.

Having said that, I believe that the underhood and interior areas of the car have much room for improvement in terms of aesthetics and performance.

But that really is not that important. What matters is that Crashunit is modifying HIS car to HIS whim and this is gratifying to him.

Does it matter if I think that his car can use more go-fast goodies? No, not really. Unless he values my opinion on how his car should be modified.

However, we are all here on this forum because we want to hear other people's thoughts and opinions(I think - on second thought, I am mainly here for the DRAMA and its entertainment value )

What I am trying to say is that people need to have more open minds and be more tolerant of others...and other people's cars

This thread has some of the most embarassing comments EVER!!! To consider yourselves authomotive enthusiasts (let alone RX-7 enthusiasts)...is quite shameful.

For crying out loud, can EVERYONE please just congratulate Marvin on his trophy win. Ok, so the car doesn't "do it" for you. Fine. At the very least, commend Marvin for the time and effort that he spent in modifying his car.

It is too bad that there seems to be elitist individuals that seemingly have "godlike" visions of what a FD should look like. All other "visions" are basically inferior.

For the SCC Ultimate Street Car Shootout, the Supra Guys had 6 pages worth of encourage and congratulations for Mani, w/ praise to Daniel and his team. These congraulations are coming from the same guys which are supposed to be biased w/ their elitist attitudes that the Supra is superior to all.

http://www.supraforums.com/showthrea...threadid=71139

At least, they KNOW where credit is due.

And WTF do I see here. Comments which are on the verge of direct bashing. Marvin's post was to SHOW that his car was in a magazine. He was not asking for opinions on how else to modify his car. Truth be told, if you publicly display anything, then you can expect some sort of criticism, but I would like to suggest that some of you take a course in Public Speaking, Communications, and Tact.

BTW, Marvin is not placing his car in a Ferrari competition. Do not try to compare a vintage 1940-1950 racing Ferrari w/ today's modern cars. Besides, there are very few modifications that are made to ALL Ferraris. Usually, the owners keep the car stock. Therefore, comparing the body lines for a vintage Ferrari w/ today's vehicles (in a import show) is a unfair comparison.

Marvin, sorry I couldn't make it. Had to pick up my in-laws from the airport. Congrats on your trophy.
