XTD Clutch Kits???

Hey, I found this clutch kit on ebay XTD Stage 3 Clutch

The second gen guys have a few good things to say about it but I can't find any information on it for the 3rd gen's. It looks like a decent set-up. I'm almost down for just trying it out and giving you guys some feedback on it. I'm kinda pushed for christmas ideas... last minute shopping, i know.

DON'T try to go cheap. i've gotten a clutch from them b4 for my bros mkiv supra and they sent me the wrong pressure plate. i installed it with new throwout bearing(everything) and it was weaker than the stock clutch and i emailed them and they gave me a bad comment saying i should've taken it to have professionals install it, IMO stay away from them

It doesn't hold well to cars pushing a good amount of power. Other than that, it's a fine choice.

Yeah, I was just gonna say that... I bet they will hold up to around 450hp. Theres just something about the ACT Clutches that I just don't like... They feel different than other compatible ones.

if you guys don't like the ACT clutches, then what do you like? i'm hoping to have a car with around 400 at the wheels someday and will be needing to replace my clutch sooner than later... was hoping to just get one that would suit my goals (sorry if this is hi-jacking, but i think it goes along with where the thread is heading)

my opinion on the ebay clutch... anything critical that you are going to buy on ebay is just asking for it to break... why not just spend the extra money and KNOW that it is the right thing?

1. How much hp are you making?
2. Use -- street, drag, track, all of the above?
3. You are aware of the characteristics of a puck clutch, right?
4. If it doesn't work out, how happy are you going to be pulling the tranny again to replace the clutch -- after buying another clutch.

I personally have nothing big against ACT clutches... If your goal is 400hp at ANY time most any clutch other than stock one will work. Maybe a few exceptions but...
