the answer is NEITHER
xs sucks.
I wont ever use them again.
you are better off getting a wideband and the datalogit and doing it yourself. it isnt rocket science...its just about being patient and doing it right.
dealing with tuners is a crapshoot in my opinion...sometimes they do a good job...other times your car goes bye bye soon after...or in my case..nearly blowing my 14 grand in upgrades, new ported and built motor and my ball bearing turbos
the datalogit makes it easy to tune. get it close yourself...and check it on the dyno afterwards. its almost the same price and at least you know that it will get done properly.

Artguy, so you did get your car dynotuned by XS then? I thought you just took them your power FC? Please clarify the situation. I know your upset with the service you received, but it would be more helpful to hear about the actual tuning (e.g. if you found it was too lean under certain rpm's etc.).

My brother (yellow R-1) took his car to Ray (SR Motorsports) to have new injectors and a power fc installed and DYNO tuned. I flew out from Va. and we both decided after driving the car it wasn't tuned at all. We drove the car from San Jose to XS Engineering and Eric tuned it..XS did a good job tuning the car and treated me and my brother well. I would recommend XS highly to anyone based on my experience.
BTW: Ray (SR Motorsports) lied and didn't tune the car at all, the maps were all over the place. I wouldn't let Ray tune up my weed eater. He lies and is as crooked as they come..

The topic of thread it the reason why I don't upgrade to a PFC. If someone finds a GOOD tuner in the SF BayArea, please let me know!

jpandes, pm osdesigns, he knows how to tune haltech, tec2, and power fc.
As far as XS and ray goes my answer would be neither ifyou wanted to do mail order maps but for dyno tuning go to XS. They tuned my car and it drives very very smooth and I'm happy with the tuning. Try to talk to eric there though, he's the cool one there who will actually look out for you.
