What did a search show you about these turbos?

Any thing from XS Power is valued the same as those head lights

In all seriousness finding another turbo would be a good idea.

I don't know which turbo that is exactly but xs power makes el cheapo parts afaik. So if you're going single turbo route do a better search before you start your project. You are in Australia iow rotary heaven, I'm sure if you call around you'll get better suggestions and a clearer picture. Go for something tested and proven like Garrett, HKS etc. Also you can call custom turbo shops like GCG and see what they have on offer for RX7.

I've done the whole ebay turbo thing on brokeass Honda builds. Honestly the turbos last longer than the manifolds.

knockoffs are nowhere near as bad as they once were. i'm not saying you should go that route, or that it will last as long as more expensive stuff, but people have been doing it successfully on other platforms. I was just talking to a local Mustang shop owner who ran an ebay "GT45" (which is actually more like a T04Z in size) on his personal drag car and never had any problems with it.

It only spins at like 140,000 rpm..... quality control comes into play after 150,000 rpm so try one out, why the hell not

Knockoff turbos arent usually balanced and are def not reliable like the real thing. FD's are nice cars and deserve nice parts
