After a few days of tearing thru wiring diagrams, I've had no luck. Does anyone know where I can find the pin/wire assignments for connector X-14? It is the EM/D harness connnector.

 

The Auto->Manual conversion guys have been tearing through the wiring lately. You might check their threads:

if memory serves me, x14 is a white connecor and contains wire for the instrumnet cluster. most come from the trans that are attatched to the em harness.... i can look into it further if you want/have not figured out what you need yet.

 

Yeah, I still haven't been able to find the pin assignments for that connector. If you have a resource you can refer me to, what would be great.

 

hmmm.... i cant seem to find it. the second haltech install i did, i wrote everything down in a book as *notes* for myself. and now i cant find it in the book...
from my memory the pins were for the 1-2 switch, neutrual switch, reverse lights, speed.... i got all the info from the wiring manual. it is not layed out anywhere all in one piece which is why you are probobly having a problem, but they are all in there.... if i have time i will go back over it. and report my findings to you.
may i ask what you are trying to do? maybe you dont need all the wires???
in stripping down that part of the harness for a haltech and conecting to the trans back to original location (dash) you only use the O, Y, W, LtG, G, G/Y, L (blue) and you ground the blackon that is kinda in the middle. this is the ground to allow the guages to work....

 

Yeah, I certainly don't need all the wires. In fact, I'm really only looking for one, I just don't know which one. My tach and speedo are dead and I'm about 99% sure it's a pwr or ground wire issue. My x-14 and x-05 connectors both have some cut wires on them so I'm guessing it's one of those. If I can just track down the pwr and grounds on both connectors I should be able to put this back together.

I believe the pwr is the Y/B and the ground is the B/L on x-14, but I'm not entirely sure. And I haven't been able to identify pwr and ground on the x-05 plug.

 

i am almost positive the Y/L is the taco signal. i will look later tonight for you.

 

wait... isnt x05 blue and near the ecu? i think x-07 is the one right next to the x-14 one... right?

 

Yeah, x-05 is blue and right by the ecu. And yes, the Y/L is the tach signal. I've got that and the speedo signal wires marked. The only ones I'm having trouble locating are the pwr and grnd wires for x-05. I believe Y/B is the constant pwr for the odo memory, but I can't find the switched power or the ground.
