IMO, a vented hood is a much better alternative.
There's no question a vented hood is an excellent option to help cool off our little nukes - but It is AMAZING how much hot air comes out both sides of my car. The fender and the ducts are actually hot to the touch after a bit of spirited driving. And the cost was...well....about $10.00.

I prefer "ghetto" to hacked. You would never know anything was done except for the two, 2 1/2" holes in the upper rear of the engine compartment. Now THATS hacked! (Actually it was done with a hole saw...)

According to Mr. Chin this is exactly what he had in mind when he designed the FD3S.

$10? That depends if you already have all the tools needed to do it (which not everyone might have).
