wrecking yard / junkyard

I am looking for recommendations for wrecking yards / junkyards.

I would like to replace the plastic tray under the engine and some interior pieces.

thanks.

You could try here: http://www.japaneseautodismantlers.com/

But your best bet is to post a WTB ad in the Parts for Sale/Wanted section. You can also try PM'ing Fritz Flynn ( https://www.rx7club.com/members/fritz-flynn-3583/ ), a trusted seller of used parts.

I've never seen an FD in a salvage yard in my area. Their value is just too high...which is a good thing I guess.

If an FD appeared in a junk yard in the Bay Area it would be stripped in hours.

Wow.. thats a long time...

Here in Miami it would take all of 10 mins before there would be nothing left..
usually, the guys that work the yard grab all the good items while the car is still in back and then everyone else gets the scraps...

they do appear occasionally. the first one was in a head on on the freeway (17) and basically everything except the ABS unit was bent.

the second was such a huge pile of crap it had no good parts on it, AND THEN it got driven off a cliff

so there is nothing to strip....

You probably didn't fill out all info. If you don't fill out all the info, your post doesn't get listed. The one people forget the most is to check the radio button for which state they live in.

The only time I see an ad not appear in the forums is when people leave a needed bit of info out so the mods (rightfully) ignore it.

Thanks for the tip.

Instead of ignoring it I wish they would give some useful feedback.
As it is now, I don't know if it was rejected or they just have not had enough time to get to it. How many days/hours should I wait where I can assume it has been rejected and I should just fill out another one?

Well...when you have dozens if not hundreds of submissions a day...I understand...especially since everything is laid out step by step in the stickies. I'm not knocking you but they've really cracked down on it in the last year...ask me how I know! Haha.

A good way to double check is to go into your user control panel and look for threads started by you. If you don't see it and it has been over 24hrs than I'd post it again.
