and the price will most likely not go any higher as a dealers license is required to bid on most of the cars theren

I just put a nice down payment on a Apt in Colombia so I'm back to broke lol. This would be great car to buy and then just find a roller and swap everything out. I have a feeling there will be a lot more people with licenses bidding on this then you think.

If you do buy it cheap, I want a finders fee LOL.

Good Luck

The guy who owned this car just had $10K worth of work done on the car at Pettit when he swerved to avoid an object in I-95. I had several email exchanges with the owner of this vehicle as I was trying to purchase it from him before he settled with his insurance carrier. Here are his words about the vehicle's condition and photos of the car that he sent to me: Just FYI, the car is mangled from the seats rearward. I THINK the rear end is working. RR tire is pinned against crushed wheel well so it won't roll. I can take care of that in a jiffy with a Hi-Lift jack. Once unpinned I think it will move under its own steam…maybe. Left door is pinned shut, but looks fixable. Right door forward o.k. except for some paint scratches. Roof is wrinkled just forward of hatch. All glass is intact.. Airbag did not deploy. Motor runs fine. I am sure Mr. Scott passed the Petitt invoice of goodies that I had installed. Only around 700-800 miles on components when the tree jumped out in front (or behind) me. Down side is car has been stored outside at wrecker yard (covered) since 25April. Engine is the OEM and only needed a seal job. Cam even knocked $$$ off the engine job because it had negligible wear. Street ported and detuned to 7 p.s.i. on the turbo system. Turbos OEM and needed no work. I gotta stop now…I'm getting weepy.

I'm beginning to think that starting this thread maybe wasn't such a good idea. LOL

Anyone here plan on Bidding?

You checked it out? I'm sure at its price it would still be worth parting out.

It's a 20 year old car, if it wasn't taken care of mileage doesn't really mean anything.

I won't be bidding on it for myself but am going to see if someone I know is interested, unless someone else on here is picking it up I will leave it alone.

I looked at it and most of the interior is clean but cracked due to the impact . The drivers seat is wedged against the center tunnel if that tells you how hard the hit was. I doubt the exterior doors are useable as the crumpled slightly due to the body shift. Hell. The whole exterior seems off. At its current bid price it's getting high for the parts that are worth the trouble . Good luck to the new owner

Guys it's easily worth 5k

The interior alone is worth 2 or 3k

If it was closer I'd go pick it up for 5k no problem

I've seen the car. It's not easily worth 5k. Everything from the seats rearward is destroyed including interior. It ran rough. Broke up at idle. I was gonna bid but not now

Trust me, I've sat in the car. You'd be close to breaking even parting it out at 5k. At that's not including the close to 1k in fees just to purchase it, or transportation. G's 3rd gen hit the nail on the head. It hit so hard the rear bins cracked almost in half. Seats are wedged in place. Center console broke all the clips. But if you say so...

I SAY SO

I'd break even in no time and if I lived near this car I'd probably buy it if it cost me no more than 5k.

VERY CONSERVATIVE PRICES:
Long block 2500
Main harness 400
cluster complete 300
Pedals 250
carpet 400
Trans 400
Diff 300
Front susp 200 per side (looks like it has some coilovers on it as well)
Front calipers 100
Front bumper 300
combo switch 100

OK there's my 5k

etc....
