Logicon removal

Hey I'm taking out my Logicon to check the solders and I'm having some troubles... I pulled it off enough to be able to unplug two plugs, but I can't find where to un plug the third. I read somewhere that it is under the dash which I tried to remove but it was a pain in the *** and I was hoping you guys (gals) would know of an easier way. (I also remember someone on here talking about it being by the Air Mxiture motor, but I'm not sure what that looks like when I'm looking from underneath my pedals) Any help would be MUCH appreciated

If you remove that center piece from the dash defroster grills on top, you can get access to the plug from there. I'm not sure if thats the one you're talking about since you didnt say which ones you unplugged but the one I'm talking about is the one everyone hates unplugging.

go to www.fc3s.org and download the factory service manual. Look up the logicon's plug locations from there.

I just unplug it from inside the logicon and leave the wires in the dash.. I think it's a lot easier that way.

Perhaps you have confused what plug he means... the third harness is soldered onto the PCB.

The easiest way to get to the end of the harness is to remove the steering column cover, the gauge surround, and the gauges.

Then it is very easy to reach back in and get to the plug.

You are right but I didn't explain correctly.. if you are just going to resolder then you don't need to take the whole thing out.. you can take it apart and the front panel will come out and you can leave everything else inside the dash still connected.

At least that's what I have done when I did my logicon.
