Question wow is this worth it?

im a rotary nut and have an 88 se 2+2 NA, i test drove a 93 tt with 60,000 and 17'' momos with a custom 3'' exhost. the car is selling for 6,500 this 19 year old has no fing idea what he has the engine is strong and runs and drives like a dream, it has the usal aged paint job and a few loose interior parts it smokes at first then quickly goes away and he sais the shop he called said that the motor was shot or somthing so he dosent even drive it he just wants it gone. anyway thats great but the real problem is that im 300lbs ish and cant fit in the damn thing i fell in love with it imidiatly its obvious the kid knows nothing about the car and the whole thing just gets to me, even if the motor blew on my way home i could have AAA toe it to a shop and have a new engine in the thing easy these are exotic cars and its hard to pass up but seriously should i let it go and stick with the car i have now or should i buy it knowing i can fit in it and have it sit till i loose the extra baggage. honestly i feel it would be good motivation but its alot to spend on a car and not fit in it its so hard to chose. so thats my story guys have at it. sorry for the shitty spelling and even worse punk. but you us rotary guys are a closer family then most car groups espesialy because you cant take these cars anywhere we rely heavy on each other for help and advice about our cars and such so i know its worth posting here about this.

hm. Shoulda tried harder on the grammar and punc. but before you buy its pretty simple take it to a rotary mechnic or at least run a compression test. get ready to shell out 6 grand for a worst case scenario reman+rebuild + tranny + turbos if this kid doesn't know what hes doing. Thats about it.

How bad could a tow be if you're willing to drive it? Rent a u haul trailer and tow it yourself. Don't exacerbate the situation by running a blown motor.

I would lower the price if you could just because the kid doesn't know what hes got and you prolly need the money for aforementioned reconditioning. good luck

also if you're 300lbs check out the thread SEATS FOR LARGE AND IN CHARGE thread by dhahlen. and youll need a after market steering wheel. Most likely you'll be able to fit in

You'll see fd ROLLERS go for 6500 every now and again. A running FD for 65 is a steal, especially if its in 'ok' condition. BUY IT, theres a good chance the motor isnt blown, maybe bad turbos, running pig rich for some reason... who knows. Get it compression tested. Buy it, fix it, sell it. Put the money into your FC if thats what you really want. Hell, a decent condition, running FD like the one your describing will fetch AT LEAST 10k. If your not going to buy it, post up the guys info and let someone else take it. Ill be it will be sold in days.

A running FD for 6.5 isn't BAD at all. But regardless, the chance of you driving it a year before the dollar amount is over 10K is pretty unlikely.

STILL not bad in my opinion.

As far as the weight goes - Cheatham (search) is a tubby biotch and fit in his. Even in those tight *** Recaros. So I know you can squeeze.
