Would you??

OK i got a 93 with 64xxx miles. totally stock except for dp, mp, and greddy exhaust. it pulls a solid 15.5 psi at idle.

OK here is my question. would you heavily mod it? i came across a great deal on a single kit. And theres no telling what hp i would be happy at really, nothing to big. Buttt it you didnt have the money laying around to rebuild, would you throw your money into the single kit?

your already risking blowing it up with just a turboback exhaust. it shouldn't be pulling to 15 psi on a stock wastegate

Get the car tuned so it doesnt run to lean. If your happy with the performance just keep the car running and reliable so you can enjoy it for a long time. Thats what Im doing. I want to hold on to my 7 so I can pass it down to my son. No Im just kidding. I want to be burried with it. No one can have it. Screw you son what have you ever done for me.

and i really want gone with all 23342342 of the vacuum lines that just keep getting hard and breaking

Haha why do I think the same thing??

I'd say go for it. The one's who don't want to go single change their minds anyways.

Is it your DD or toy car? Would you do everything that may be needed, e.g. ECU, injectors, etc?

If I were you, I would NOT buy a single turbo, unless you plan on doing internal engine mods and cooling mods first, you would be risking your engine. If it's your daily driver, I suggest the reliability mods to keep the car reliable enough to drive everyday.

yup its my DD. But i am going to do everything from alum radiator, to new hood. i heard the Feed hoods help with cooling. But i will buy a power fc for the tune and do fuel pump, bigger injectors and a fuel rail.

Is it true that if you single and have a great tune that it is more reliable than the stock twins cause they run so hot?

Its true that it can be more reliable than the twins because the twins have so many things that can go wrong especially if they are still sequential. I second the opinion though on building up the engine first before going single. My plan which I have been working on is rebuild the motor with a medium streetport and 3mm apex seals and then I am modding the twins so that when I go single all I need is the single turbo kit.

all this wouldn't happen if you just replace them with silicone hoses...
