Would these tires fit on this car (pic inside)

Instead of explaining, here's a pic

Current tires are 225/45/16. I'm looking to buy bigger tires for the back. I know 245/45/16 would work, but any of you gentlemen know if 245/50/16 would? Thanks.

Those look like 225/50-16s to me (judging by sidewall height). 245/45-16 works front and rear. 245/50-16 fits in rear but looks funny (too big).

I agree with Max, why do you want a tire with bigger sidewalls?

To get more speed out of those 4.10s. It's only a 6000 rpm ls1, and also they are cheaper.

Did you buy it with the LS1 swap done, or did you do the swap yourself? The car looks familiar which is why I'm asking.

Did you or Ebank's ever get the transmission rebuilt?

I like the rotors too, but aren't they rotating in the wrong direction.

The slots have nothing to do with the direction, it's the internal veins that have to point a certain direction.

I know that, but how many of you guys actually check the internal vanes. Most go by looks.

SPOautos ran a larger rear tire... I think it was that size but can't remember. It did look a bit odd because of the tall sidewall, but I guess it served the purpose he intended.

I would think you would want a wider tire out back or some drag radials so you can get traction with all that damn torque, lol. They look like they would fit fine, but you may lose a little bit of handling though. As for the rears, most people (myself included) successfully fit a 255/50/16 bfg drag radial out back with absolutely no problems, so those will definately not be a problem for the rear.

P.S. I cant wait to do the swap to the dark side, enjoy it man.

I do... and usually the slots/drills are machined along the direction of the vane.

People better when they are installing them or they might be installing them wrong.

I'm just pointing out that you can't go really go by the exterior look to tell if they are or aren't installed correctly.
