Ok, seriously...for like 2 years at the drag strip I got a fuel cut on about 2/3's of my drag runs. So im like really pissed and it was like 2 engines and 2 sets of turbos and no matter what when I ran, about 2 out of 3 times sometimes maybe 2 out of 4 times I got a fuel cut. The fuel cut ONLY happen from shifting from redline from 2nd to 3rd...
So....I noticed when I got my new tranmission when I went to the race track a few months ago I did not get my fuel cut. So I wasn't sure why..
Today, I was driving on the street and pushing it hard and I hit the fuel cut. This was the first time I got it on the street as I never drive fast cause all the pigs around here....
Anyway after the fuel cut I realized that it wasn't a fuel cut at all...
Anyone figure out what It was????
BTW, you can search my screen name and "fuel and cut" and there is like 10,000 posts by me over the years.....

I went into 5th ROTFLMFAO...
I always wondered why when I hit the fuel cut I did not get power again until I downshifted and then went back into 3rd. I guess with a helmet on and the rush I never noticed I was in 5th. but I re-created it on the street and that was the problem...

nope, has nothing to do with what anyone told me. I'm guessing my old transmission at 178K miles had more play, cause the new one this has only happen 1 time. But atleast I figure it out.
