Exclamation Would Boost Spike Happend With The J-spec Twins

JUST wondering if the j-spec twins could handle the flow without a boost controller, i know that the waistgate has to be changed or ported, but do you have to do it if they flow more. please no smart *** reply just true knowlege. thanks ps just trying to choose between high flow twins or single.

First of all, what are your mods?

Secondly, what boost numbers are you getting now?

Thirdly, the main problem with creep and spiking is running into fuel-cut or a lean condition, not the turbos self-destructing. Although from Artguy's experience, that will happen too.

The J-spec twins are supposed to be capable of handling slightly higher boost but probably not enough to make THAT much of a difference.

No offense, but it sounds like you have a lot of research to do before considering going single. Going single requires upgraded fuel delivery, intercooling, and should really be dyno-tuned with a stand-alone ecu to be safe (and effective).

it is 99 twins not j-spec or rice spec and no boost spike is caused by lean mix's or fuel cut!!! you need some tune'n dude not trying to be a dick but everyone j-spec is just gay!!!
rynberg was pointing out that boost creep and spiking can lead to fuel cut or a potentially hazardous lean condition. He wasn't saying the spike/creep was caused by a lean condition.

Just go single dog.... With a T04-E, you dont need to change **** but the turbine, and do some computer tunning.... I went just like that for a while with no problems, quicker spool-up and nice HP upgrade
