Would any of you guys sell your 7?
I bought mine in May and are starting to feel the wrath of random things going wrong. I'm not sure if I should keep it or go ahead and resale. When things seem to constantly go wrong, what keeps you from selling and just dealing with the problems your 7 gives you?

Bridgeport Anyone??
I think I can speak for everyone here, no matter how many little stupid things, or big mother things, go wrong, once you're behind the wheel and know you can pass by just about anything on the road with ease, it just puts a smile on your face Everytime

so far $600 for a radiator, $150 for fans, then the hoses, coolant, etc. I know it's not a blown motor or anything major but I fear there is more to follow. Maybe I have myself convinced that worse things will happen but I do love the car and feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place

BoostorLose I know exactly how you feel. I love the fact that civics and integras don't rev up any more and the fact that guys in mustangs and camaros kinda look at me funny because they don't know what to think. And i must say, ever since I've had the car, the only problem thus far is fouling out spark plugs and having to buy octance boosters. I want to make this work, but there is that little voice in the back of my head trying to scare me off. But I really appreciate the responces, with some suggestions and support, I may just have to keep the 7 around.

Back in the 7 life again
or ebay the sucker, I have seen koyo's and fluidynes for under $400 brand new. A well taken care of stocker shouldnt cause you too many problems but if you are going to mod it, go to a 7 shop that you or alot of other peolple trust and sit down with them and decide a timeline and part progression that you are comfortable with and can afford. Its the whole measure twice and cut once approach. If they know what they are doing and you can keep a level head, you will end up loving your car to no end.

not sure where in NC you are but give Bryan a call and see if they can help you out.
Also try hanging out in the SE section. The Raleigh boys are pretty faithfull to there own Although showing up in a FD you should bring a beating stick for protection. Some of them are lonley I think, they spend too much time working on the cars! haha j/k

i dont think i will ever sell mine. there is not one other car out there today that is anything like the thrid generation rx7. from the looks of the body which is like nothing like any other car, well the only car that i can think of that is slightly similar to the same body style would be the dodge viper. and not to mention the uniqness of the rotary powerplant that powers the car. but to enjoy the feeling of owning one you must take care of it. so the question is whether it is worth all your time, effort and money to keep it. but me personally, someone would have to kill me before i got rid of mine!

I've had mine for 5 years now. There have been some rough times and some costly repairs. Had trouble sleeping everytime there was something wrong. But it still blows me away when I wake up in the morning and see her in the garage. Sure there are other rides out there that have the show as well as the go. But they all have big price tags on them. Also, there aren't as exclusive as fds are (3 year production period). If you have strong feelings for your fd, then I'd suggest you set-up an emergency repair fund so that when problems arise you will be prepared to deal with them ASAP. Or if you're a DIY, then you can depend on the knowledgeable members here for consultation. On the other hand, if you don't feel a strong connection with your fd, then there are plenty of nice options out there. Just don't make a haste decision to give her up. Think it through. Cuz when she's running good there's nothing better. Take her out on a chilly night with no destination in mind. You'll see.
