don't bring anything
it shouldnt be low on oil or coolant when you get there
it really is just like every other car just drive it and don't think of anything else

I drove my car that I just got 1200 miles home the day I bought it. 800 of those were in a row just stops for gas. Don't drive the hell out of it until you get home but you can have some fun here and there to wake you up on the highway

Make sure it's not overheating when you let it idle for about 15 minutes and that the boost is at 10psi or lower before you do anything

Drive it! It's the only way to find out how good the car is!

You just need to bring some good CD's and enjoy the trip.

I just bought my 94 FD 2 months ago from "gohorns" and I drove it home. I took a plane ride out to Houston and drove it back to South Carolina (13 hour drive). On the highway I saw about 22-25 miles a gallon. Great drive, the only problem was the seat is not the best on your back. You have to drive it back, you will get to know alot about the car on your return trip. It's also cool to see people stare and take pictures of your car! I always love that...

Damn that is a long drive in an FD. I drove from Oregon to Virginia and it is long as hell, but not in no FD. I drove mine from Philly to Denver and that was long enough. I made it through Kansas (the whole state) in like 10 hours. Flat as hell, and I got that bitch up there about 120 mph cruising. Most fun I have ever had.

Fuq dat.

TOW IT.

your back, legs and elbows will thank you later.
after 8hrs with 6hrs to go.. you'll be smiling
thinking about the miles you are saving and not
worrying about "possible" breakdown in the middle
of BFE.
