Is this worth it?

Ok so right now i own a 2002 rs with a wrx swap. I'm kind of looking for something different. There is a guy with a 1993 rx-7 that has a 383 stroked V8 in it. From what i've read this is pretty common. The car looks like its been in pretty good condition. the one downside is that it has a salvage title due to the back end getting hit (how that happened, i'm not sure) this happened from the previous owner before him. it apparently did not damage to the from but had to replace the rear bumper. everything is fixed. Could use some new tires and the reverse lock solenoid is bad. (should be easy to replace... right? ) we would be doing a straight swap.

Is this a good trade? what would be your vote in my position. I'm not trying to have you guys tell me what to do, i just would like some out side opinions. thanks

You'd be paying a premium on the value of the FD for the swap, so if that's what you really want then make sure all the work was done with the attention to detail you expect. If the guy is eager to get rid of the car in a straight up trade, make sure you're not getting stiffed. Your car is almost a decade newer with a "drop in swap" whereas his swap my be of dubious quality. Also, a salvage title and he's passing it off as "just a rear bumper"? That doesn't sit well with me. I guess the first thing to do is determine if the guy and his car are on the level, the figure out what exactly your car is worth and do some comparisons to see what other v8 swapped cars of that caliber are going for. Then you can determine if it's a good deal or not.
