Worried about clogging the oil lines!
Has anyone encountered a problem with clogged oil lines, oil filter, or oil pump after doing the ATF trick? It seems to me that if enough deposits are dislodged it could clog the screen at the bottom of the oil pickup, among other things. Of course changing the oil and filter immediately after doing the ATF trick will get rid of much of that stuff, but I don't think the oil pump is designed to move carbon buildup and sludge.
With that in mind, how much ATF have people pumped into their cars? I'm probably going to go with the turkey baster technique so: How many baster-fuls is adequate?
Thanks,

you dont pour the atf into the engin oil area, you pour it into the intake runners, or a vac line...it disloges the carbon and stuff in the combustion chamber area, the only reason to change the oil after is b/c the oil can become contaminted by the atf and the gas..

Yes, but when I start the car after it's been sitting in ATF for a day or two everything that's been loosened up in the combustion chamber is going to circulate through the engine. It's not all going to be forced out the exhaust port. That's what I'm worried about.
