The tranny was in nuetral ( i hope ) so there was no gears engaged.
but whoever told u to tow it front up... needs to be bitch slapped.

can anyone see the original pics that I posted?? if not, can someone host them for me??
Beautiful car! I did the same thing in January from Houston to San Diego except I drove back (couldn't resist). My leg was killing me by the time I pulled into the garage ('94 R2, no cruise...obviously) but it was a fun trip. Now she sits quietly waiting for me to install the $2000+ in parts I've since purchased. My bank account doesn't like me very much right now but it's all worth it!
If you don't like your bra I'd be willing to take it off your hands since I can't afford to fix the damage on the front bumper at present.
Any way CONGRATULATIONS!

link still isn't working for me...It's all good though....
But anyways your trip reminds me of mine too.
I travel from Sacramento to Utah to get my FD. total of 1200 miles. But when drove the FD back, it's only 600 miles...

If you look int the owners and/or repair manual it says to tow from rear wheels or if you lift the fron then the rears should be on tow dolly's. I have no idea if tow dolly's can go on the freeway. I hope the car made it ok.

However, very nice FD, lookes similar to mine when i bought it 2 years ago

It is fine to tow a FD like that. I've towed probably 14 of them like that up to 950 miles in one day.

If the transmission is a manual, then no problem.
If it's an Auto then I'd be getting it checked out before driving too far - most auto's only tow for 30-40 miles before breaking...
Nice car

i work for uhaul (rent those dollys) and we NEVER recommend a RWD vehicle being towed on a tow dolly, and if so we INSIST the rear drive shaft be pulled... you should sprung the extra couple bucks for the auto transport (all 4 wheels off ground)... ah well regardless
beautiful car! congrads
