Won't go past 3k with boost.

Can someone tell me what could be the cause of my fd not going over 3k with boost? If i hold on the partial throttle till redline with no boost it goes fine. Takes long but it gets there. However if i boost it it just falls flat on it's nose. It's like it wants to stop.

The car has been in storage for 3 weeks. I started it every week for like 8-10 minutes, and moved it 4-5 feet back and forth. Vacuum shows 17, idles nice, everything seems fine.

Please give me any input, it's irritating like this.

it sounds like a fuel problem...

when i changed my fuel pump, i forgot to re-adjust the o-ring so it would seat properly. if i gave it more than say 25 percent it would drop and backfire.

there is also a relay that switches the fuel pump into high output mode. its green.

It could be a lot of things. Do you still have the stock ecu/Pettit/M2? If so, I would start by resetting that before moving on to other things.

TEDDER1: That's what mine does exactly, it wants to stop and it backfires a lot.

Rynberg: I have Purple box PFS ecu. The thing is I didn't touch anything on that car for like 3-4 weeks. I'll try reseting the ecu, by disconnecting the battery and holding the brake down for 30 secs. and see what happens.

Amel,

Sounds like you're in limp.. Reset that ECU and you'll be fine.

It does the same thing if your fuel pump relay is missing or is bad. At 3k the fuel pump goes into level 2. It operates at 2 speeds.

Low speed from 0-3000 rpm
High Speed from 3000-redline
