Winter Driving

I am going to be a soon owner of a 93 rx-7, Can this car be driven in the winter? I live in chicago so if anyone one can help me please respond!!!!!!

yes, yes it can. its not fun, specially when it snows or theres an ice storm. and black ice really sneaks up on you. i drove mines for 2 winters, even during last years ice storm(bout 1" layer of ice on the roads) i dont recommended. i prolly wont know that i actually have some power going to the wheels.

I sold my evolution VIII and an RSX to get an FD and I need to be able to drive this car year-round so I'm hoping for the best....Thanks for your help

If you really have to drive the FD in the winter I would suggest buying an extra set of stock wheels and mounting some snow tires on them for the winter months.

Yes, yes, yes. Do this. Winter driving in all-season tires is woefully inadequate for this car.

Same advice here. Get a good set of winter tires. They make a world of difference. It's really not that much different than driving any other rwd car in the winter.
You do need to be very gentle on the throttle or the primary turbo could bite you.

Thank you, like I said I live in Chicago, I'm only 17 and my previous 2 cars wearn't rotary, is there anything i need to know about the winter monthes????

Get a boost gauge and learn how/when the car will boost.
