Winshield Wiper Motor

Will an earlier model RX-7 motor work on my FD? The code on the FD motor is FD01 and from a S4 FC is FB05. I'm guessing no but I thought that I'd ask. Or should I just go out and buy some Rain-X? Will it work well enough to not need wipers?

I've got an extra FD windshield wiper motor I will sell you. Sorry, I am out of Rain-X though.

PM me if you are interested.

There is only one wiper motor. It is located on the pass. side behing the ABS pump. Sounds like your linkage went south. Maybe it just came apart. It is safe to safe that if the drivers side works, the motor is fine.

Check the linkage.

I found out this week that my wiper blades needed replacing; however the Rain-X I applied at the beginning of this year was more than enough for me to see safely through the windshield.

I normally don't drive my FD in the rain, but I have a track event this weekend, and rain is in the forecast. I'll just use the Rain-X.
