Locally (Houston) - PPG glass installed for $215. Another brand I've not heard of for $175. Supposedly glass is gov regulated, so may not be too much diff in quailty. I'm replacing mine with PPG in the next couple months anyways...

I paid $300 because that trim that goes around the edge of the glass cost like $100 or something outrageous.

Forgot that - my price is assuming they can reuse the trim, which they did for my Civic last month. I may replace the trim, as that I'm replacing all the other trim anyways.

Use this to contact a dist for a dealer near you:

http://www.ppgautoglass.com/main/locations.htm

Keep in mind that price can vary wildly, so call as many places as you can. I got quotes anywhere from $350 to $175 (no specific glass requested).

Why are you replacing the glass? I thought that if a windshield was damaged it was a law that the insurance company fix it (FL) I even heard an advertisement from some glass company that if they do it under insurance, they give you a FREE box of steaks...

Depends upon your insurance. As for the steaks, that's a bit of a scam. You get the steaks and the insurance company gets a bigger bill. In some places they are cracking down on that.

I need to get mine replaced as well. The PPG dealer in Torrance quoted me $205 including the molding. I have heard that the aftermarket moulding doesn't fit well, so I ordered an OEM, part # is: FD01-50-6AXC and cost $61 list.
