No joke.
I am seriously considering purchasing another sportscar. Should I sell the RX7 to finance the new purchase is a question that I have not been able to answer partly because the RX7 is in a state of disrepair at this moment.

The only way I'd ever sell it is if my family would starve, but since I'm single I'll gladly spend my lunch money on gas, and live off Top Ramen until I get my commission. In the words of the dorky kid in Sandlot I will keep my FD...

I'd kept the FD 4LIFE if it wasn't stolen.

F^%*ng THIEVES !!!

Definitely another one in a couple of years though when I have a house and a garage. I'm already addicted to it.

The car's exterior can't be improved upon. I don't care for the new styling at all ('99 to present). I like the 93-95 body style. They should just keep enhancing the engine, throw on a 6 speed transmission and update the interior with nicer materials and a newer design.

Down with RX-8's

Look...it took me seven years AND a divorce to get my FD.....you think I am gonna let it go easily?
Seriously though, I DO plan on keeping it for a long, long time. I mean, there are what....roughly only 6 thousand of the original 15 thousand left on the road?
That puts these cars in some very stratified company, rarity wise. And while they may never become true "collectibles" they certainly will never become something you see at every street corner.

I would like to keep mine till I die. The FD is a classic they just know it yet. The FD is one of the cars that started the import crave, and being that there are so few of them makes them even more wanted. Think about it when you grow old and show your grand kids whats in the garage what do you think there reaction will be? My dad had a 69 GT350 and he tells me that when he bought it he never thought it would be what it is today. So think about what you have. I dont think anyboby whould want to get rid of thier FD, but sometimes **** happens.

I'll keep it as long as I can. If it's for life then so be it. If things continue the way they are though I might be sleeping in it.

-j/k there's no other car out there that gives me the same feeling driving as the -7-. Well that I can afford at least.

I feel ya! I've waited 11yrs to finally get mine. Ever since I first saw one in person at a Dallas mall, I knew I had to have it. The only problem then was I was only 16 and broke! Like I said before......Till death do us part!

You know, I thought I'd keep mine forever as well, but that may change soon. Having 2 babies is changing my outlook on things. Had to get a Mazda MPV mini van, need my truck for rental/home improvement stuff, and my Hyundai work beater. With 4 cars one has to go and the 7 just sits in the garage. Tired of freezing my *** off just so the 7 can be warm.

Never thought this time would come since I've owned every gen of RX-7. Very sad Wondering how long I can justify 4 cars. I can 'afford' it, but it does seem like a waste of money. Damn kids I'm trying to remember that I was one myself once. What was I thinking

I know, get rid of the Elantra and drive the 7 to work Where do the 2 baby seats go

Wife drives the minivan. Truck is too big to fit in the parking garage at work. I have to drop off the babies off before work in the morning. Elantra is only worth $2k or so if I sold it anyway even though it was garage kept and low mileage. Runs great and does not break...
