When SUV's were taking over all the dealerships I thought yes! Now that HP is becoming more popular again I don't know. This car is getting cheaper to build up compared to when I first got it though. Now if Jim would just... (jk);)

RE FOR LIFE!!!.

Larz 01-10-04 05:12 AM

It'll be a classic in some more years. It will always be a pimp ride.

shawnk 01-10-04 07:49 AM

I plan on keeping mine for life. Of course that is only the plan and plans are notorious for changing. I had a few plans in my 20's that I was pretty serious about and alot of those have gone out the window...

I plan on keeping it as long as I can but if a new RX-7 comes out...that may temp me to trade/sell it.:)

Scrapiron7 01-10-04 09:10 AM

I doubt few, if any, of us will keep them for life unless we die while driving them in some sort of accident.

FD 4 LIFE YO!!!1!
I'd like to keep it for awhile, but there are other things out there that interest me as well, business opportunities, getting a house, school, etc..
But I love my car and working on it more then anyone I know, I enjoy driving even more so, but I know it isn't my very reason to live.

911GT2 01-10-04 10:43 AM

As of now, I think I'll have mine for as long as I can. But things change, you never know.

RX7 RAGE 01-10-04 11:38 AM

I'm taking mine to the grave with me. :)

Sgtblue 01-10-04 12:11 PM

Probably won't DRIVE as much, but if I get my workshop garage enlarged as I'm hoping I won't sell it. I'll move on to that Z06 dream of mine, but keep it to drive at the AARP parades. :D

Remember when your Dad, uncle, or close friend to the family brakes out one of those old photos of their old cars that are just undeniably cool in any generation.
Everybodys like how could you get rid of that car! Are you stupid!

Whether or not it does become a classic, which I don’t think it will, it will always be a very special car that people will always talk about while we are still putting around on the ground in these hydrocarbon novelties.

For me I always thought that it would be very cool to just store it away if I ever come to a point in my life where it is not practical or possible to use up this much of my time and spend this much money all for the love of something that is a little different yet strangely addicting.

So for all intensive purposes yes I want to keep it forever.

It has been the car I've always dreamed about when I was younger.

And despite my affection for a Ferrari F50 or a McLaren F1, my FD is the only car I ever wanted.

So yes, I'll take my car to the grave! :)

Later,

ColesRx7 01-10-04 12:51 PM

My FD forever, It will be in my will for my grandsons.

J.S.J 01-10-04 02:20 PM

I may keep it a year or so I want to build a mid engine 914. I have a nice 302 Chevy sitting around and since it will be a 1970 to 1973 theres NO emission testing at all. But we will see.
