What year is it? I THINK the '95 non-california FD's have no EGR. Anyways, your car will run slightly better without it. It's certainly not a problem. Someone just saved you some trouble.

I've removed my Air Control Valve, Exhaust Gas Recycler, Double Throttle, and Accellerated Warm-up System as well as leaving no hoses connected to four of my solenoids and I have no check engine light. Whatever the ECU doesn't know can't hurt it.

I think it is all 94 model models and California 93 models that will throw check engine lights if you don't have the EGR. My car does it, it is a 94 and definitely isn't a CA model. I have never heard of a US 94 model that could go without the EGR if it has the stock ECU, though there could always be exceptions.
