Will not start (kinda long)

Well I am at the end of my rope. I've been working on the car off and on for the past 10 months. With waiting on parts, to flying in the Air Force, I've hardly any spare time. I finally got everything together and when it came to the moment of truth; not a damn thing happened.
Basically I've went from stock to these mods:

KDRotary Streetported Motor w/cooolant/oil mods
GT 35/40
Midpipe
Racing Beat Dual Tip
Greddy 2 Row FMIC
Greddy type S BOV
861cc/1600 Fuel Injectors
Upgraded Primary / Secondary Rails (lines in parallel)
SX Fuel Regulator
Supra FP
Aeromotive Fuel Filter (relocated)
Racing Beat Aluminum Flywheel
ACT HD / 6 Puck-from Pineapple
Greddy Profec Spec II Boostcontroller
Apexi Power FC w/Commander

This is a summary of what has happened. First turn of the key... NADA. Either the starter is bad or isn't getting power...right? Cleaned contacts and what do you know, starter turns. Go to start it again and It wants to start. Little smoke but still doesn't start. I check all fuses. Try and try some more... nothing. I check the basics.
Spark= yes (checked each plug)
Gas=yes (pump is working even cracked a fuel return line to see)
Rechecked fuel injector sizes in PFC+they check.
I checked all vacuum lines are intact .
I installed all new gaskets all torqued down.
Removed fuel rails to see if orings and insulators were leaking/came off ;All is well
Try some more and its flooded, now i've done the "unflooding procedures till I wanna puke.
Rechecked all connections and fuses= AOK
MAP sensor = OK
Then I am told I should Pull start it well at this point I'll try it. Tow Tow = No Go
W.T.F.
That is just basically what has occured. If anyone has input or similar situations to help me out it will be greatly appreciated.

W.

That is an interesting predicament. Try a rolling start. Could it be a dead battery or alternater. Hell, it could just be a bad starter for all we know. Make sure ALL connections are made correctly. Like you didn't switch the blue and yellow wires. Or you could have a bad fuel pump(even though u bought a new one), or clogged fuel lines. Try the simple things first. If I were you, I would try to do a rolling start first.

Thanks for reply ...

I have tried pull starting.
No luck
I'm in the process of shooting wires. Wires to alternator are good, but I'm gonna take my alternator to get it checked just to take it out of the loop.
Battery voltage isn't a problem cause I've used a jumper car and a battery charger that has a "starter" feature.

Are your coils hooked up properly? If you get them swaped around that could cause some problems. In that case they would still spark but just at the wrong times.

Or maybe the crank angle sensors are screwed up somehow (also providing spark at the wrong time). If you have a timing light that will respond to the spark (some won't) I think you can rough check the timing while cranking. The timing specs are on page F-16.

If you haven't done so, put in a fresh set of spark plugs, at least leading plugs. They get fouled VERY quickly trying to start an engine that's sat for a while.

Also, make sure the fuel lines are hooked up right - if you have the return hooked to the feed and vice versa, you'll have all KINDS of weirdness.

I doubt you're looking at an alternator problem or anything at this point - if you've got juice to crank the starter, you've got juice to make spark and run the ECU and fuel pump.

Just be persistant - it's usually some simple, easy thing that you overlook. Finding the simple, easy thing is a big pain, though!

Good luck!

Thanks Dale

Lot of time and $$$ has gone into this and I've pretty much done on my own.

Thanks for suggestions!
