Will a JDM engine harness work on a USDM 93 rx7 with USDM engine?
I own a USDM 93 RX7 and was in need of a replacement engine harness and buddy of mine out in UK had one he sold me from a RHD RX7, will I be able to use this harness? I was going to have someone modify it for single turbo setup. Thanks for your time and yes im aware its probably been covered on this forum before but I couldnt find any info specific to my situation.
Personally, I wouldn't have messed with a different harness. They pop up in the marketplace here, you could buy a new OEM, or a Rywire milspec single harness.
As far as the actual fitment, I believe if it is for a S6 (93-95) then it can be made to work. Will it be a simple plug and play, no. The harness is going to the opposite side of the car, so the specific plug lengths will likely be different. The fact that it is being converted to a single will help quite a bit, as the JDM cars don't have a few of our emissions devices.
Pay someone? There are plenty of threads on a single conversion. It isn't really that hard. Take the time to search and you will greatly benefit from learning your car more.

Rywire : Mil-spec Tucked 13B harness (FD3S/Rx7) - $649.00
I'd suggest buying the rywire one. Cheaper than OEM and better quality.
The JDM harness *could* work, but some wires would have to be extended. I'm sure jayscoobs friend could give some pointers, but why bother buying a used harness that *may* be a bit crispy itself when you can get a new one?

I've had a few JDM harnesses, and they're typically VERY nice as they're much lower mileage on average. Still soft and flexible.
New Mazda OEM harness is priced like stupid now, and the Rywire harness is really nice, but only if you're single turbo/no emissions.
I know there is some minor mods needed to make the harness work, and I think one of the connectors in the car (the blue or white one) is differerent or needs to be modified. It would be worth it to have a harness with nice soft connectors, though.
Short version - it's not plug and play, you will need to do some work.

Currently Ryan is working on a RHD harness for me for my BNR setup.

Hey Guys, drop me an email. my stock harness, I need a core from you for all the plugs that I havent purchased new as of yet.... So the used plugs will be for the emissions (I should have all the rest new!) So if you guys want to send in the oem harness to me, I can make you a STOCK replacement, or any variation. Price is fair, but it will be a little more than the one on my site as its a bit more work, and more time to make. Still a great Value! and will take heat much better than the oem automotive grade wire, loom, and tape!!
