will i need a re-tune?

i know this has been posted before but from what I gathered it is somewhat case-by-case

my car's tuned @ 12psi (steve kan)...has a (cheap) hks intake, fmic, pfc, and rb dual tip

original cat--which im suspecting could be clogged---not hitting 12psi after the 4500 transition, the needle sort of bobs between 9.5 and 10.5

i want to go high flow, will it need to be re tuned immediately?

oh, and if anyone else might know what's causing the 9.5-10.5 psi on the secondary, any input is appreciated

the tuner does exhaust as well, but if the cat isnt the problem then it would be pointless to get it tuned with a leak

You should ask steve.

My guess is no, you won't need a re-tune as long as you keep your boost adjusted at 12psi.

You wont need a re-tune. put on the high flow, and adjust ur boost through the "BOOST" setting on your PFC so its solid 12 psi. The way you do this is to bring the % on the primary and secondary down until u reach 12psi. Just to be safe i would fist start off setting the % pretty low and raise it until 12psi.

i have no equipment to alter the PFC unfortunately, it has no commander---it was put on the carb ack in the day when they sold the commander separately...i dont know how to use it at all regardless..

i'll just have the tuner shop put the HF cat on and take a look at everything, thanks for all the input guys...just wasnt sure how 'necessary' it was
