does the idle bounce around or does it jump up to 1800 and sit there perfectly?? You may want to consider going by a shop for a compression test. One of my friends cars would do something similar but instead of jumping up his rpms would dip down and bounce around between 300 and 2000. He had a blown seal and it only did weird stuff like that when he was on the brakes or sitting at a light. Another thing it could be is just the way your car is tuned. My cars idle is really weird and when i had it tuned, all that stuff went away. This is all just my opinion and advice, i'm not an expert or anything. I hope you find out what the problem is and get it fixed without too much hassle
