i get this wierd gurgling noise under heavy throttle, mainly in the upper RPMS (second turbo?). it definately sounds like its coming from that direction, and i can hear it the loudest when i get back on the gas after i shift gears when accelerating.

today the tranny is out for a clutch replacement and when i look up at the intake side of the rear turbo, theres a bunch of oil on the bottom of the outside of it. im also replacing my rear main seal and rear sta. gear seal because one of the two is leaking pretty badly. theres oil all over around the back of the engine, tranny, and everything else around there, could the oil on the turbo be from this or is it bigger issues related to the gurgling noise?

 

What you want to do is check the turbo and see if its ok.. If you have ton of movement on the turbo, I say thats the cause for some oil in your intake.. But most FD with "48K" should see some oil in the intake... Take the SMIC and clean the inside. I don't think your tranny and oil leak is related.. But who knows.. Check everything and make sure.
