WideBand Air/Fuel Meters???

Who has seen the AEM Uego wide band lambda air/fuel meters, are they any good?
Or would you suggest the air/fuel meter from Innovative WideBand? These are from the Rx7Store. I need one to better tune my car and I want to do it my self. I am also looking into the datalogit device to use with my old laptop and my PFC/Commander in my car.

Just looking for suggestions and feedback?

Thanks

I have sold a few of them and everyone has liked them. I just got some of these in http://66.216.67.51/product.asp?0=208&1=361&3=814

The Innovative unit is much better all around. I just bought one(LM-1). The AEM looks cool, but will not display anything lower than 11's. That's hard sometimes especially which our rich running rotaries.

I was thinking the same thing when I finally saw a decent pic in Turbo magazine. Since it only goes to down to 11, I don't think it would be all that great for tuning a rotary. Most of the time you are tuning for 10s and 11s for turbo rotary use. Nice looking gauge though.

Damint! Where was this thing when I was shopping for a WB kit???

As for the LM-1, I had one and I wasn't able to get it to work properly. I was getting too many "Sensor Errors" due to an over heated O2 Sensor. The other thing that was missing with the LM-1 was the lack of a separate display(I think they are planning on selling one down the road). That LM-1 unit is the size of a fat paperback book and is not mountable. FWiW, the Innovate guys give great customer support.

I ended up buying the TECH Edge 2.0 and I'm very happy with it. Although, the Uego display looks awesome.

The only problem with the AEM Uego gauge is that you cannot output to a computer for logging, it just displays on the gauge.. that would be a worthless tool for tuning. The single channel UEGO kit outputs 0-5V for logging, THAT would be useful instead of just having another light show.. AEM needs to release a kit with both capabilities. At least that is my understanding from reading the AEM forums for information on these two.

Where did you place the new sensor? I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to put mine. I think the downpipe will be too hot, so probably down a little further. Not sure how much further down though.

In the downpipe, stock location.

Make a heat sink.

Just like jpandes mentioned above, the stock location would be way too hot for the sensitive O2 sensor. I'm thinking I might end up having to mount it on the midpipe(Will this effect the readings?). Either that or wire up a new sensor.

The answer is right there:

Make a heat-sink.

It's not the sensor, it's the outer edge of the housing that has the issues with heat.

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com

Read their FAQ and also read where they recommend a heat-sink.

OR

Purchase an NGK sensor which has no issue with the heat, but is more expensive.

It will work fine but leaded fuel shortens the life of ANY o2 sensor, so don't expect 30k miles out of it...
