go to

www.pettitracing.com

and check out the Protek-R, it describes why you should use it and what it does. I use Protek-R in every tank of gas.

you only need it if your omp isnt working or if you dont have one. your car adds oil to your gas from the factory.

Oh, so if you got oil leaking from the OMP, you could just easily remove it and opt. for premix? Interesting.....

Depends on what ECU you are running. The stock ECU is going to look for the OMP. However, ECU's like the Haltech won't run it anyways so they have to premix.

The other thing that I was told, but cannot verify is that it will help lubricate the fuel pump internally and also help sealing of the compression chamber, so better fuel economy regardless of whether the OMP works or not.

I don't know if this counts but I use MMO to prevent carbon deposits and build up from running synthetic.

why not premix, its cheap and not very hard to do at all; if you can measure out 4-8 oz of oil and some how use all your brain power to actually get it in to your gastank, your done haha

Yes it counts. I use it to. There are no valid reasons why a high quality synthetic (read RP, Amsoil) would cause a "build up". Just the opposite. True synthetics are very strong surfactants and actually will clean your motor.

Like skunks said it's cheap and easy and it can't hurt.

Marvel Mystery Oil. Its kind of a "top oil". I'm not sure what it is. Part lubricant, part detergent. I've used it in these motors for years.

Opps, too slow in my old age.

Spraying the oil mixture through the injectors gives you better chamber coverage vs. the oil trickling into the rotor housing through a weep hole. The oil metering pump does not spray oil into the rotor housings.
