I think torasports makes the cf.. i dont think its the "Real" stuff.. its the stick on.... sucks.. you can always go to like a fiberglass shop or something and bring some cf and they can mold it for you.. if you wanta do it yourself just take some foam and mold it to the inside of the dash. Then just lay the cf on top of it and apply the epoxy( i believe that is what they use). Then cut off the foam and sand it down on the inside. Then apply a clear coat over the cf.. I may be wrong on this all but this is what a friend told me they do for cf.

If you want more pics of that car, I've still got 'em up (for a limited time): http://hero.com/~briank/bathurst/
On the real -vs- fake Carbon Fiber issue: it would be ridiculous for Mazda to use real CF in the places they did on that interior as it would weigh MORE that the plastic pieces it is replacing. CF is only good for weight savings when it replaces metal.

can anyone mass produce these for us(well with quality kept in mind of course)? if someone could do a really professional job of it, like in the rhd japanese cars, i'd be willing to bet they'll get a lot of business. i myself don't have the time to learn and experiment with carbon fiber molding, and would rather pay for it straight up.
1. it's faster.
2. it would probably look nicer (considering someone's experienced work verses my beginner work.)
3. My time is worth so much more than that.
4. If someone can make one, i'd willingly pay them because they deserve it. Spread the wealth dude.
